A faithful witness is about so much more than when, where, and why you have or don't have sex. I long for the day when churches can stop being so pharisaical about sex, and start seeing people as beloved children of God. All of us sit at the well, longing for Living Water, and not one of us is beyond the redemption of Christ. Who will go out and be the hands and feet of Christ to those who are hurting, who are outcast, who are left out, who are in need of refuge? There is so much need in the world—so much hurt and so much pain. So many who long for a healing touch, a kind word, a loving embrace, a seat at the table, a safe place to question and doubt and believe. What we don't need is one more Christian discussion on the rules for sex to distract us.
