Forget ‘Occupy Wall Street’, It’s Time To ‘Occupy The Altar’

Last updated on: November 3, 2011 at 10:03 am   By Zack Hunt

Yep, this is a real thing. And it’s fitting that it’s happening in my old hometown, the Protestant Mecca, Nashville, TN. If you don’t believe me that Nashville is the Protestant Mecca, then make a pilgrimage sometime and try to walk 50 feet without seeing….. a church (Nashville has one of the highest church densities in the country)……. a Christian bookstore or publisher (home to publishing giant Thomas Nelson and Lifeway; also more Bibles are published there than anywhere in... Read more

‘New Mystic’ John Crowder Presents – How Not To Take Communion

Last updated on: November 2, 2011 at 2:05 pm   By Zack Hunt

Remember when Jesus said “This is my body and blood, take eat, and then pretend like you’re drunk.”? Yeah, neither did we. I guess Crowder gets points for intinction. And I suppose we have to give him credit for practicing what he preaches. He says that the receiving of the eucharist is not supposed to be “introspective” and well, I think it’s pretty clear there’s not much thought going into this “party”. Occupational Haiku – Televangelist

Last updated on: November 2, 2011 at 10:00 am   By Zack Hunt

Maybe this video is just funny to me, but this amusing clip comes from a series called “Haiku Professions” in which a job description is summed up with a brief haiku. This one is about televangelists and it’s pretty much perfect. Read more

All You Do Is Sin, Sin Sin, No Matter What….

Last updated on: November 1, 2011 at 10:18 am   By Guest Contributor

If there’s one thing that white Christians like, it’s songs that tell you exactly how to dance to that song.  In most cases, it’s the only way that white Christians know how to dance at all.  That probably explains why so many Christians love the song by DJ Khaled, “All I Do is Win.”   In the same spirit as our Thriller megapost, we are going to take a look at many different Christian versions of this modern triumph... Read more

Forget Halloween Candy, Give Out Religious Tracts Tonight Instead

Last updated on: October 31, 2011 at 10:01 am   By Zack Hunt

Usually we reserve tracts for Tuesdays. It makes for nice alliteration, “Tract Tuesdays.” Today we’re making an exception because it’s Halloween and what better opportunity will you have to convert literally dozens of souls than tonight when they come so willingly to your doorstep? Tonight, you could be generic, boring, and old fashioned, handing out candy to the trick or treaters that knock on your door. Or you could be original, exciting, and cutting edge and hand out... Read more

Last updated on: October 28, 2011 at 3:30 pm   By Zack Hunt

For my friend Pete…. You never know what to expect when you log in to Facebook. As we all know, the site could dramatically change at any moment without warning. One thing you can expect to see, however, are status updates you didn’t want to read or know anything about. That happened to me on Monday, but this time it wasn’t a Farmville update, a plea to repost a message to prove you’re a Christian, or link to... Read more

Forget Potluck Dinners, Bring On Church Fight Night!

Last updated on: October 28, 2011 at 11:22 am   By Zack Hunt

Remember the video about ‘The Nightmare’? It was a Christian haunted house we featured a few weeks ago. Well, this video is from the same church. Fittingly it’s called “GUTS Church.” Which makes perfect sense with their emphasis on blood and guts, not just at ‘The Nightmare’, but also at the unsanctioned fight nights that they host. I guess if excitement is what you’re after, then amateur fights are certainly the way to go. Mark Driscoll would be so proud. Read more

If Your Hair’s Too Long, There’s Sin In Your Heart

Last updated on: October 27, 2011 at 10:57 am   By Zack Hunt

Are there too many long haired hippies roaming the halls of your church? Too many “sissy” looking teenage boys filling up your church pews? Then this song is for you. It’s called “If Your Hair’s Too Long, There’s Sin In Your Heart.” Just click on the music player below, hit play, and remind those godless heathens of their sinful ways. Also, available are such classics as “The King James Version Is Good Enough For Me” and “Thank God... Read more

7 Yr Old Girl: “Jesus Hates Halloween.”

Last updated on: October 26, 2011 at 2:14 pm   By Guest Contributor

I present to you, a drive-by equivalent of Holy Halloween Hatred.   Well, there’s really no arguing with that logic.  It’s right there in sweet audio as well as black and white.   As a side-note, We usually try to avoid posting minors on the site, but the uploader of the video seems to think it’s appropriate to use a little girl to advance (and even prove?)  his agenda… so I don’t mind posting his video to make him... Read more

Herman Cain: Liberals Killed Jesus

Last updated on: October 26, 2011 at 1:57 pm   By Zack Hunt

Gotta love you some Herman Cain. You never know what he’s gonna say next…….and neither does he. Although, in fairness he apparently made this claim last year. So, technically it’s not “what he’s gonna say next”, it’s what he’s already said. Entertaining, nonetheless. Herman Cain: Jesus Was Killed By A ‘Liberal Court’ By Luke Johnson The Huffington Post Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain wrote last December in a RedState column titled “The Perfect Conservative” that Jesus was killed by a... Read more
