Because Natural Law is Catholic
Last updated on: January 24, 2017 at 6:18 pm By Frank Weathers
I’m going to have to borrow a line from U2‘s Bono and say, “Am I buggin’ you? I don’t mean to bug ya,” as the Edge’s guitar solo rises to a crescendo. I’m talking about my last few posts, which uncharacteristically have touched on politics and things political. (more…) Read more

Remember St. Paul’s Roman Citizenship? UPDATED
Last updated on: January 24, 2017 at 6:18 pm By Frank Weathers
And how by virtue of that, he had certain rights and privileges thereunto pertaining? You know, before he was martyred anyway? This gave him time to write a few letters while in prison and such. Uncle Sam seemingly wants to streamline the process for us nowadays. You know, skip all that pesky due process stuff, the right to counsel and all the rest of those Constitutionally guaranteed “rights,” and just get straight to the jail time. (more…) Read more

Out Of Our Heads, Looking For the Garden
Last updated on: January 24, 2017 at 6:18 pm By Frank Weathers
Much like the world did thousands of years ago, mankind cries out for a savior. So far there is one candle lit on the Advent wreath, as we await our Redeemer. Wait a minute Frank, you say, I don’t believe in God. And yet you still yearn for something more than what you have experienced in this life so far, don’t you? (more…) Read more

Because Barbarians Are Us
Last updated on: June 7, 2015 at 11:36 pm By Frank Weathers
Perhaps you think that my saying we are barbarians is a little harsh. Maybe I’m going over the top, even though we as a nation lawfully sanction the killing our unborn babies. Surely it’s not for reasons such as this one that I deign to call us barbaric, despite the obvious, self-evident truth such actions contain. (more…) Read more

Thoughts on How Christ Prayed Under Duress
Last updated on: January 24, 2017 at 6:18 pm By Frank Weathers
Once when Jesus was praying in solitude… Is it wrong for me to wonder to myself this question: What would Jesus pray? What would God, as the Son of Man, pray to God the Father? I read a Psalm of David today that makes me believe a) perhaps this is how Our Lord prayed for strength while he was undergoing his trial, and b) David “saw” this and again prophesied events that have been fulfilled. A Prayer On This Thanksgiving Day-UPDATED
Last updated on: January 24, 2017 at 6:18 pm By Frank Weathers
First of all, then, I ask that supplications, prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings be offered for everyone, for kings and for all in authority, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all devotion and dignity. Those are the first words the Apostle Paul writes in the second chapter of his first letter to young Timothy. Basically it’s a command to pray for our leaders and for all. You see, we have so much to be thankful for, living... Read more
