There Is Nothing To Find

By The Beloved

In the oasis of our minds,

We thirst-

The search begins, seeking, this and that-

Yet always here

We throw away our love

For money- it lets us down

Yet always here

Thoughts form a veil

We can not see

Do to this strange thing called “me”

Yet we are always here

Joke is on us-

Our questions make us feel good-

More knowledge-

No real learning-

Just words thirsting for the answer, some relief

From the oasis, some hope, anything

Yet always here

Confined, depressed, worried

Projecting nightmares on the wall

Scaring ourselves to stay dead

“Dead man walking”

Yet here

Give up, hands in air, ” don’t know”

Smile

Laughing

Here

Silence

Amen
