A Tarot Message for the Grieving Half of America 2024-11-06T19:23:33-04:00 Heron Michelle

Once more we awaken the day after an American election to find that madness prevailed. Once more I am dismayed, disheartened, and disillusioned by the national descent into depravity. What’s a witch to do when she feels lost in the dark forest? This witch did a tarot card reading for the 67,237,559 voters for Kamala Harris are in mourning today. I posted the video to my Youtube and TikTok channels, and embedded that video below.

I’m also demonstrating my Jewel of Power tarot spread that I teach in my book, Elemental Witchcraft. As usual, the cards delivered an encouraging and helpful message, like a greeting card from the Great God, advising ways to regain our personal strength and balance within Spirit, so we can eventually accomplish our goals.

Post-election Tarot Message

My Jewel of Power tarot spread is based upon the 5 points of the pentacle. The first five cards look at the current situation from five perspectives: mental, will, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of our lives. It does not read card reversals. Should a card be laid upside down, the position shifts to the receptive mystery of that element. The sixth card is a “next instruction,” or piece of advice for moving forward along one’s pentacle path of evolution.

Projective Spirit Message

Upright, offering a message throughout this reading from the Great God regarding our inner connection to Spirit and our personal will in the situation.

Air Card: To Wonder

Inverted. 5 of Wands: Strife

Saturn in Leo. From a mental perspective, we are tasked to keep asking questions with a sense of wonderment. Seek a fresh perspective on the current situation. Release our fears, and bitterness about the election losses, because the risk of resignation and overwhelm is high. We need to face the situation head on, and take action step by step, questioning everything as we go.

Affirmation: “I can express my feelings creatively through my work.”

Fire Card: To Surrender

Inverted: Ace of Swords

Raw element of thought. From the perspective of our True Will, we must surrender to the fires of Highest Divine Will that will transform us through this situation. With this transformation, a new intellectual clarity will emerge. Divine inspiration will guide us through the new endeavors that lie ahead. We will recognize many truths that others choose to ignore. We are tasked to act responsibly, be honest, but remain compassionate.

Affirmation: “My perceptions are clear and trustworthy.”

Water Card: To Dare

VIII Adjustment

Upright. Libra: Path 22, from Severity to Beauty. From an emotional perspective, we must dare to partner with others of like-heart, rise up together like a “blue wave” of compassion to overcome all obstacles before us. Balance and equilibrium can be restored. Seek out beauty and harmony, remain centered in that idea of harmony, and carry that through our daily activities.

Affirmation: “I rest within my own center.”

Earth Card: To Be Silent

Knight of Disks

Fiery aspect of Earth: From the physical perspective, the harvest for which we’ve been working is already manifesting. Like Knights, we will bring this harvest home, but first we much put all our skills and energy into service to attain our goals. The effort required to bring home this harvest is still large, and demands the full use of our powers. But if we keep showing up for ourselves, keep working, we will taste the sweet fruits of our labors…eventually.

Affirmation: “I have all that I need to accomplish the tasks set before me.”

Spirit Card

6 of Swords: Science

Mercury in Aquarius. From a Spiritual Perspective, we must apply our intellectual powers to analyze, and synthesize information in an objective way. If we can break out of out-dated modes of thinking, we can gain an all-encompassing understanding of this situation. Through a harmony of minds, we can seek unifying ideas, and address our issues from a new perspective.

Affirmation: “My mind is in harmony with Divine Mind.”

Next Instruction Card

Upright: Two of Wands: Dominion

Mars in Aries: It’s time to bring all our energy to this battle: be dynamic, pioneering and we can dominate the situation. However, dominion in this case rests in the harmony and centered-ness that were already mentioned in the Adjustment card. Our next instruction is to focus on remaining centered within ourselves, grounded in our core values , guided by our moral compass, and strive for that Higher Divine Purpose. We can trust our power, do not accept false compromises!

Affirmation: “I find strength through my center.”

In the coming days of uncertainty, I hope this reading brings us all the strength and encouragement we need.

Blessed be,

Heron
