Last updated on: December 22, 2019 at 12:15 pm By Lisa Wagoner
As the month of December is also filled with the hectic energy of the season, people are everywhere, and by the time you get to the Winter Solstice ritual, being around more people may not be high on the list of favorite activities. It's the time of year to hibernate, to hide under the covers, and not deal with people, right? Then the magic of community happens, engaging your senses and your heart. Feeling Overwhelmed At Yule
Last updated on: December 15, 2019 at 8:45 pm By Lisa Wagoner
December comes with a certain amount of dread for some of us. I know the month will be filled with my anxiety in overdrive, and there will be too much to do, with too little time to do it all. I know that when I go out to run errands, people will be cranky, rude and have little concept of personal space. I know all this, yet I resist the urge to run away and hide in the tropics for those four weeks. How to survive? I planned ahead this year, with a few things that have been beneficial, as we head into Yule. Read more

This time of year can take on a frenetic energy that can wear the most positive among us down to a weary sigh of humanity. We all know the drill: everyone is frantic, people everywhere urge us to be jolly, conversations revolve around presents, the endless lists of things to do, and parties. When all we want to do is stay under the covers and await January. There is another way: take it back to the basics. Read more

Onward to Yule
Last updated on: December 1, 2019 at 9:45 am By Lisa Wagoner
One of the many things I love about the Wheel of the Year is the onward turning through celebrations and observances., as we wind our way through the twelve months. It grounds and centers me, attaches me to the rhythm of the seasons, turning my focus inward. And so it is with Yule, also known as the Winter Solstice, one of the oldest winter celebrations in the world. Take this season to turn inward, truly celebrate, and enjoy. Read more

October is not only the month for Samhain, the world celebrates Halloween. All interest, focus, attention is laser-focused, seemingly, on the end of October.
