I have a very good friend who is Gujarati and she invited me to join her and her fiance at a Gujarati Samaj event in our area. I didn’t know about this organization. I’ll have to learn more about them and maybe go to more events. This was a huge event, a garba dance for Navratri.

We all got dressed up and went out for Indian food (to fit the theme). Then we showed up at the dance where there were HUNDREDS of people dancing in a beautiful and wild circle. I adore the chaos and the energy of this kind of event.

Unfortunately I still feel pretty awful all the time and I find it too challenging to be vertical. So I ended up sitting and watching the whole time. Sad because I love dancing. But there’s always next year.

We actually ran into some friends there, three ladies from our bhajan group. That was neat.

I’m really glad that we went, but being pregnant is seriously challenging. Way more challenging than I expected. It’s been rough trying to get anything done at all. But I should only have about four more weeks of this and then I’ll be in second trimester and, if rumor is correct, I’ll have a ton more energy and feel a lot better.
