Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.
What were people enjoying last month? Google Analytics has the answer!
I don’t know why it took me so long to put something like this together. It’s easy for me to forget that there’s lots of new people who are just starting to wonder about the very basics of Hinduism and there’s not a lot of easy to digest information out there. People are searching to know what Hinduism is and they want to start with the real, real basics. I discovered this when a friend’s friend wanted to interview me for a class paper. The questions she asked about Hinduism made me realize that a lot of people in America don’t have the benefit of a clear understanding of what Hinduism is and how it differs from Christianity.
This is an older post but I think it’s popular for the same reason as 101. I think I might need to update this one with more detailed information. I just did a real broad overview because I know there’s a lot of people who don’t even realize that Hinduism isn’t one thing. It’s extremely diverse!
I love the holidays and I love this time of year where there’s a new holiday every couple of weeks. Lots of people are looking for ideas on celebrating the birthday of this beloved God. This weekend, don’t forget, we’ve got another big one: Navratri!
I hope you all enjoyed getting that very personal peek into the most special day in our lives! Not many got to experience that one with us in person. It was a small and private ceremony, so it’s nice to be able to share it with you all now.
Another intro-style post and I think it’s been a good resource for people to begin to understand Vishnu and how Krishna and Rama fit in. I learned a lot creating it. There were stories from the earlier avatars that I hadn’t heard before.

It’s clear that people are really connecting with my introduction posts. I’ll do more of those whenever I can! I’ve always wanted for this blog to be a resource for newer Hindus and a guide to help on the path to becoming more secure in your Hinduism. It’s good for me to remember to create posts that support that goal. Feel free to leave a comment and tell me what aspects of Hinduism you would like to know more about!
