I’m not about having answers. I’m all about having questions.

I’m not going to claim that I understand everything. Of course I don’t! And I’m not sure that I want to have all the answers.

Because what I see is that when people feel like they’ve got it all figured out, they stop growing and they stop learning. It reminds me of when I was young and I was watching some TV program about math. I told my mom that I already knew this stuff. She told me I needed to let go of thinking that I already know it all and allow myself to learn.

I rolled my eyes at the time, but I see her wisdom now (there are a lot of moments like that!)

I am very skeptical of anyone telling me “This is how it is.”

I think that it can be scary to feel uncertain about things or to feel like we don’t know everything. We hate to expose ourselves as vulnerable or ignorant. But pretending to ourselves and others that we have it all figured out is dangerous. It stunts our progress.

I urge you to be open to new possibilities and to always keep exploring both what you know and what you don’t know.

Questions are a wonderful thing.
