An adventure in Cornwall
Last updated on: January 21, 2019 at 12:13 pm By Annwyn Avalon
We arrived in Boscastle where we had two hours to explore the town. I had one single agenda and that was to spend as much time as possible at the Museum of Witchcraft. I have spent many hours exploring their online archives and was so excited to see the items in person. I did not disappointed! Because of the short time we had in town I literally ran from the bus to the Museum of Witchcraft Read more

Healing the Mother Wound in Bath with Sulis
Last updated on: January 10, 2019 at 2:15 pm By Annwyn Avalon
A few days later while spending time in the Chalice Well Garden I decided to do a re-dedication to Sulis, working at the shrine of The Sacred Mother I used a yellow flower from the garden to represent her solar aspect, motherwort and the shrine to connect to the Mother energy. I had saved water from both Cross Bath (which was did have chemicals in it) and water from the Hot Spring fount (now at the end of the Museum complex) I used the drinking water to anoint and bless the Mother Statue and then finished my ritual. The details of which are personal. Read more

After a while of chanting I had a clear channel of communication with the ancestors, and while I have worked with the ancestors and ancestral practice since I was a baby witch, I had never experienced working with them in this way. At this point in the chanting ritual everyone was chanting, and very loud. Then I heard the Ancestors speak, I could hear them speaking audibly and very clear. Read more

Finding the Goddess in Glastonbury Abby
Last updated on: October 22, 2018 at 9:05 am By Annwyn Avalon
I also visited some of the trees including the beautiful Yew tree that was near King Arthurs Grave and the kitchen with a beautiful open cooking area that one can only dream of having in their own home! After strolling around the grounds, looking at plants and taking photos, I headed over to a ruined site that was called “Lady Chapel”. Here is where I found the Black Well. Read more

Seeking the Sacred Pilgrimage
Last updated on: January 9, 2020 at 10:29 am By Annwyn Avalon
Several weeks have now passed since I stepped foot in Glastonbury. I had intended on writing about my pilgrimage much sooner, but upon arrival home I was whisked away into a furious scramble of performance preparation and drilling choreography. I will be blogging about that as soon as I can catch up! The last time I was in the UK, I was there with family and while I was able to visit some of the sacred places I had wanted... Read more

Interview with Bela Síol, Creator of the Nehalennia Oracle
Last updated on: July 9, 2018 at 2:36 pm By Annwyn Avalon
Nehalennia is a Dutch goddess, Celtic or Germanic, who was adopted by the Romans who crossed the North Sea from Netherlands to United Kingdom to sell their goods. There is evidence they worshiped her and she was asked for protection and prosperity. In the third century C.E. after a storm, the sea level increased and covered the temple and the shrines with ocean water. Her name had disappeared under the water lost to time. Read more

Bathing in Luscious Blooms
Last updated on: June 20, 2018 at 9:33 am By Annwyn Avalon
Summer has arrived here in Oregon and my garden is alive and growing well. With the warmer weather and lovely rain the flowers are exploding in a colorful carpet across my gardens. I adore looking at them, smelling them and touching their soft petals. I loved the earth and I adored water, I wanted to dance with both. So I set out to take a delicious ritual bath filled with roses! Many years ago while admiring my garden I decided... Read more
