As we move out of the final moments of the Year of the Snake and into the year of the Fire Horse, it seems like so much is going on right now. It is raw and real and downright crazy right now. Are you hanging in there? I know there are moments when I am overwhelmed by it all and feel stuck and hopeless. That isn’t the case, though. We are powerful, and together we have the power to make change.

2025 was a year of total destruction for so many, in so many ways. For many of us, it shattered our identities, our hopes, and our dreams. For others, it brought pain, brutality, and helplessness to our communities; in some cases, to our very doorsteps.

With the files that were just released and the horrific things going on in the world, it may be hard to think about being a Priestess or about sacred work in general. But the truth is, Priestesses, Wise Women, and the Witches are needed so much right now. Stepping into your Priestess practice and fully embodying your path as a magical being is a radical act. It defies the oppressive rule of the patriarchy and gives us sacred power and voice to create change in our world.

It might be hard to think about Priestessing right now with the world crumbling around us, but each person has their part to play, even spiritual folks. Your spiritual gifts and natural talents are needed, and each of us has our own way of walking the sacred spiral of life and seasons. Some of us are called to tend sacred waters, some to protect our waters, and some to heal individuals or engage in sacred activism within our communities. We are individuals, but we are not separate.

For me, water has always been a focus of my activism and spirituality.

It is something I deeply care about and something every person and creature on this planet needs. With corporations destroying our waterways and AI farms draining entire communities of water, and in many cases completely polluting their water supply, we need to keep an eye on water and remember that it is not a commodity but something that is sacred.

This is one of the reasons I love the Water Priestess Confluence. It brings together many voices that share one thing: we love water and believe it is sacred. Though each Water Prestess walks the water path differently. Each one has a unique voice and brings awareness to the sacredness of water.

I often imagine a world where water is understood to be sacred by everyone. That communities, villages, and entire areas have abundant clean, fresh water to drink. I hold this vision for the future and future generations.

The Water Priestess Confluence brings many of us together to create community. It helps us to listen to and amplify each other, and water in ways we can’t do alone. Being in a community space like this inspires me; it brings new ideas, waters dried-out processes, and awakens my passion for sacred water service.

I hope you will join us this year and see what it is all about.
