It feels fitting that on the darkest day and longest night of the year I break my blogging silence. This darkness brings forth a powerful beginning rather than an ending.
Walking the Way of Water often requires deep trust and surrender. At times it may be beautiful like the sun that dances upon the water. At other times it may leave you gasping for air and feeling like you are drowning. The way of water is always changing and transforming us.
That is exactly how I have felt for most of 2022. There have been amazing highs and the sting of betrayal and loss. However, looking back I can see that everything has been guided by the water and water spirits. I tried to fight the current and at times I felt like I was caught in a rip tide. Sometimes the water teaches us that we are not the ones directing the current but are just a passenger on this wild ride. When Spirit is directing the current, it is best to learn how to float! And that is exactly what I have been doing.
Those of us that have been called to the Water Path (and magical paths in general) often find ourselves being asked to let go. Sometimes, we find that our wishes and will are not determining factors in where the water leads. The Spirits guide and shape us into better versions of ourselves to be better, to serve better. Spirit moves and changes in and around us in accordance with their will, not ours.
After walking the Way of Water for years and years. The Water has called me into deeper service. One that required I give up my home, and my belongings. It required that I leave my friends and everything I have built in Oregon for deeper selfless sacred service. I had plans, a clear path that I felt comfortable with set out before me. New projects are looming on the horizon and then the Water Spirits came rushing in. A powerful force of nature, the Water has moved and shaped me and ended “life as I currently know it” and have whisked me off to a new life in Glastonbury.

I often talk about being called to the water path and how it changed and transformed me. Well, 2022 was the biggest transformation I have ever gone through and I know I’m not done. I never expected that walking the Way of Water would bring me to Glastonbury. I admit it was my deepest desire and dream, but I never expected it to manifest so quickly and in such a magical way.
I was called to Glastonbury for the first time a decade ago. A quick visit changed my life and charged me with teaching about Water Magic and Avalon. I made every excuse I could, but in the end, I stepped up and began to teach. The classes turned into courses, the courses into a book, and then another. I returned in 2018 for a Sacred Pilgrimage and it deepened my path and my connection with the Waters of Avalon. Life was good, but it was about to get more magical!
I visited England in May of this year and once again it changed my life. I knelt in the White Spring temple for the 3rd time in a decade and asked what my next devotional act of service would be. This time I was hoping for another book, but the message I got was to move to Glastonbury before 2023. I was in disbelief. There was no possible way that could happen. Oh but the Spirits showed me how human I was and how much in charge they are! I will go into more details in later blogs, but at the time I had no idea what would transpire in the coming weeks and months.
I did return to Glastonbury in August. It was then things began to make sense. I will admit though I still didn’t believe it would happen until it did. When I visited in May I had a chance meeting. It was one of those in the right place at the exact right times type of moments. That quick 5 min meeting circled back around and culminated with a 3-hour meeting atop the White Spring.
At the end of the meeting, I was running down Wellhouse lane with the plot map to Chalice Orchard in my hands. Yes, THE Chalice Orchard. The very one that Dion Fortune and Geoffrey Ashe once owned. At this point, I still didn’t believe that I would be moving there before 2023. I also didn’t believe that I could pull off acquiring the property. I also had so many objections and reasons why I couldn’t, but the Spirits had other plans.
The next thing I know I am collaborating with the Financial Steward of the White Spring to acquire Chalice Orchard. The plan was that we would collaborate financially and that I would move in immediately, my family would follow and we would begin stewardship of this sacred land in order to preserve and restore it.
I know that much of this sounds cryptic. That I haven’t given you any details and it sounds pretty surreal. My goal is to continue to blog here, sharing the story of how this came to be. How things are moving and changing and continue to offer Watery content and Water Priestess Interviews. Several amazing interviews are sitting in my file folders waiting for me to get back to work and share them with the public. For now, Blessed Solstice.
