4) Measure Small, Measure Often

No matter how intentional we are, bad habits are always lurking, sneaking around our relationships and looking for a crack to wiggle into.

Despite what a lot of terrible advice would have you believe, love is not one quick adjustment. It is a constant journey. The best way to avoid bad practices and poor habits is to check in with one another often. ‘How was your day’ is better than ‘How was your week’.

The truth is much less elusive if we measure small and measure often. Less will slip through the cracks, less will fester, and less track will derail.

Love is a beautiful and complicated set of choices. It is as beautiful as it is difficult. It edifies as much as it convicts. There are no shortcuts and no easy answers. If we want significant relationships, we need to do the work; we need to make the decisions. These conversations will help you along the way.
