After making Hajj, Louis Farrakhan came to speak in the Final Call Administration building in Chicago.  Louis Farrakhan describes the hajj as a very spiritually fulfilling journey:

To know that the Prophet stood there in that place and went into that ka’ba and purified it of all idols, and to know that Bilal, Hamza, and Khalid, and all of the companions of Prophet Muhammad made that same circuit that we were making, and that the great scholars of Islam made that same circuit…  a spirit is infused in you that you begin to see the oneness of God….The tears ran down my cheek.”

Continuing, Farrakhan describes the joy he felt experiencing the stoning of the devil ritual on Eid-Al-Adha,”**“**I was throwing so hard, I hit the man next to me with my elbow. I stopped and said excuse me brother. I don’t know if he understood my language or not. But I got so carried away stoning shaytan, I let him have it boy. No wonder Shaytan is so upset.  Every time I threw a stone at shaytan, I said “AllahuAkbar.”When I said it everyone stopped stoning.”

At that moment, Farrakhan reports numerous pilgrims began looking at him likely thinking to themselves, “Who is this man saying Allahuakbar like that?” Having been spiritually rejuvenated from Hajj, Farrakhan declared in Chicago,”I’ve come back from Mecca with the determination to turn our community into the finest Islamic community in the world. We will not be Muslims in name but we are going to be practioners of the faith.”   With drugs, gang violence, and other social ills plaguing black communities in America, as Muslims we should all be inspired by this vision.
