Doubt and Fear-Pixabay-John-Hain

Doubt and Fear

Doubt and Fear are very good at their jobs, aren’t they?

I have many goals and dreams I’d like to see come to fruition; however, they take resources I don’t have.

Doubt Makes Me Ask, “What do I do?”

Trust and Obedience wait patiently for me as I ponder my predicament.

I’m certain I’m on the right path God has chosen for me because what I produce comes without effort. The Holy Spirit is freely moving through me and that is apparent. Well, at least it is for me.

To Whom Should I Listen?

Sometimes, the ones we love most are so blinded by Doubt and Fear that they cannot see that God has ordained the very path we’re on. Instead of being our cheerleaders, they tend to be more like drill sergeants demanding we do as they command.  I stand here struggling with staying when God says, “Be still.” Or moving when others say, “Get a move on it.”

I want to honor God. I want to honor those closest to me. How do I do both without destroying a relationship?

I know that whatever path I choose God will use it for His purpose and for my good. So, why is it so hard to choose?

It’s times like these that I find myself fully aware of God’s presence. I see Him clearly. I hear Him clearly. I know He is working, and He is waiting patiently for me to decide. He is such a gentleman. But, in the same instance, I understand that others are not aware of His presence. They are not conscience that He is working on our behalf, nor are they able to “be still” and wait for His timing.

What can I say or do to show them?

Because if they are not ready to receive it, they will never receive it no matter how loud I scream or stomp my feet. I don’t desire to scream or stomp my feet. I just want them to have unveiled eyes and see Him clearly too.

I know that I am not in control of any other human but myself. I cannot predict the future, but I know who wrote it. And I trust Him wholeheartedly.

Lord, as I move forward and make these decisions, may Your Holy Spirit guide me every step of the way. If it’s Your will, please unveil the eyes of my loved ones and help them see Your ways are not our ways and Your thoughts are not our thoughts.

Help me to follow you even when those closest to me are blinded by Doubt and Fear. Give me the tools to help unveil their eyes.

May we learn to seek You first, listen and obey. Together as one unit and not divided by Doubt and Fear.
