Quick Family and Blog Archives Update 2011-11-03T14:18:51-04:00 Amy Julia Becker

LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

I wrote on Tuesday about missing Penny’s Halloween party. She was very forgiving, but I also agreed to come to her school to read a book to her class. As soon as I showed up, she came to the door and said, “Mom, you missed the Halloween party.”

I nodded. “But I’m here to read a book to your class.”

She nodded in return. “Next time don’t miss the party.”

Point taken, with much thanks to all of you who commented on the blog and Facebook and sent emails with your own stories of forgetting to attend various significant events within your children’s lives. So glad to find out I’m not alone and that we’re together in making mistakes and being forgiven!

I also wanted to let you know that Patheos was just able to import a number of archived posts from my old blog. We’re still missing about a year of archives because they are stuck at beliefnet, but at least 2008 and 2009 are now with us (scroll down and to the right). So peruse at your leisure. I’m working (with a friend) on a section for this blog that will highlight favorite posts and posts that will help orient new people to the blog. So look for that in the coming weeks, and feel free to nominate your favorite posts as well!
