Fluffy Bunny Witchcraft is Good

Last updated on: September 10, 2018 at 1:42 pm   By Phoenix LeFae

The thing that irritates me about the term fluffy bunny, is it leads to a misconception that Witchcraft, Wicca, or Paganism is hard. By hard I mean, stiff, difficult, unyielding, or cruel, which is utter crap. Read more

You’re Not Cursed

Last updated on: September 9, 2018 at 10:45 am   By Phoenix LeFae

I talk to a lot of people who think they have been cursed. When someone has a string of bad luck - car issues, money problems, fighting with a lover, health scares, loss of pet - it is easy to blame that on a curse. Pushing responsibility on an outside force, or someone else, is easy. Why take responsibility for our lives when we can point the finger elsewhere, right? Read more

3 Unconventional Witchcraft Tools To Enhance Your Practice

Last updated on: September 4, 2018 at 10:21 pm   By The Witches Next Door

There’s a good chance that if you are a practicing pagan, witch, druid, polytheist, heathen, or any number of other descriptions for your spiritual and occult traditions, you’ve got tools. I mean really, who doesn’t love wielding a giant sword or burning stuff in a cauldron. I’ve got chalices and knives and stones and books and crystals and bags filled with herbs and even a whole cabinet dedicated to storing of said magical goodies. And, lest it go without being... Read more

What if Love is Not the Law?

Last updated on: July 21, 2018 at 8:57 am   By Phoenix LeFae

Yes, love can make us care for others, but love also hurts. The highest highs and the lowest lows come from feelings of love. Love can spin us out, make us obsessive, and have us act out of character. It's not all wine and roses. Read more

Self Preservation in Witchcraft

Last updated on: July 18, 2018 at 12:40 pm   By Phoenix LeFae

Selfish; also meaning self-centered. Sure, selfishness can be totally problematic. However, to be self-centered is to put your self in the center. From a placed of center, we can more easily see what is going on at the edges. It is easier to hold the fringes when we are centered. Read more

Discernment – The Most Powerful Tool

Last updated on: July 11, 2018 at 11:17 am   By Phoenix LeFae

There are times that we do spell work with friends, coven mates, partners, in classes or workshops. We may share all the nitty-gritty specifics of our spells with complete strangers in some of these situations. Does that mean it won't work? Nope. Again, it is a matter of discernment. Read more

To Keep Silent

Last updated on: July 7, 2018 at 12:41 pm   By Phoenix LeFae

Talking about your magickal workings diffuses the power of that magick. When you first complete a spell, the power of that spell is potent, pure, and strong. Talking about that activity, sharing your spell, or posting about it on social media, drains that power. Just like poking a small hole in a balloon, the power begins to leak. It may be a slow leak or the whole balloon may just rip apart; either way it weakens your spell. Read more
