The second video in our four-part series follows Valarie Kaur, Sikh American woman, storyteller, and advocate for social change. She speaks of how her religion supports her deep belief in social justice, through its commitment to a fundamental oneness in the universe. Valarie is the founding director of Groundswell, a non-profit initiative that mobilizes people of faith in social action. Her award-winning film, "Divided We Fall" chronicles the voices of people swept up in hate violence after 9/11. "You are never alone in this fight", says Valarie, "when you have God in your heart, when you have faith by your side." Read more

Here is the first video in our four-part series, which follows Kathe Schaaf. Raised in the Lutheran church, Kathe now considers herself a woman of spirit. In this film Kathe discusses her practice of gathering with other women. She ties it to the growing global movement of feminine energy, and to a shift in the ways we use words such as "power" "leader" and "faith". These are words that no longer refer to "us versus them" but are used in the context of "we" and "us all". Says Kathe: "Everyone is equal in a circle. Everyone is an expert. Everyone is a leader."
