Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

I admit there are days when I just want to stop doing social media and just BE. The introvert in me wants to but something else compels me to share what I create. So, if we are going to be together, I would like to share a little of my heart.
Laura and I hope you understand we love you all. From the person that praises us almost too much to the person that we had to block, we sincerely care about you and love you because we are on a journey together and it doesn’t make any sense to feel any other way.
We are passionate about several things, but mostly it is not rooted in a party (Democrat or Republican) and it is not based in any particular religious ideaology. We try to operate from our being and authentically move toward those things that resonate as truth and give us peace to pursue.
Our guiding light is our concern for all people. It really is as simple as that. We don’t want anyone to be abused, mistreated, ignored, or endangered. It breaks our heart to see trauma in people’s lives especially when it originates from people and places they should have been able to trust.
We live with a bit of paradox and mystery in our life. We love the military, but hate war. We love the police, but hate brutality and abuse of power. We love our country, but it’s not an idol or god to us. We obey the law and we are good citizens, but we also reserve the right to protest and hold accountable our elected officials.
There are things we don’t understand, but we realize we are on a jouney of disocvery not a mission to prove what we already know.

We also regognize the Divine in all of us, but acknowledge the failures of most man-made religions. We exercise the right to think for ourselves and pursue our own path and occasionally share what we are discovering with others.
In general, we respect your right to discover the truth, but we also generally feel compelled to advocate for the things we care about. We can accept that you don’t agree with us totally if you are willing to talk about those differences without shaming or condeming. We have become comfortable with the assumption that “maybe I am wrong” and it helps us stay on the journey and broadens our understanding.
We wish you well and we love you all!
