At 6:30am local time in Israel, Palestinian militants and their terrorist partners started launching hundreds (now thousands) of missiles and rockets into southern and central Israel towns, cities and communities.<\/p>\n

Six hours later the barrage of missiles continues to fly into Israel.<\/p>\n

Interestingly among all this is the unlikely and unprecedented number of sirens and alerts going off in and around Jerusalem, the Holy City. Fortunately the Iron Domes have intercepted several missiles (easily visible in the clear morning light) headed towards Jerusalem.<\/p>\n

What makes this \u2018tit for tat\u2019 different from all other \u2018tit for tats\u2019?<\/h2>\n Palestinian militants in full gear, armed, trained and in vehicles infiltrated southern Israel. According to Israeli military sources the infiltration was by sea, land and air.<\/strong><\/p>\n Along with street battles, it is being reported that Israeli civilians have been kidnapped and are being held hostage in locations unknown. Reports say in several instances Israeli civilians are being held hostage in their own homes.<\/p>\n There are conflicting reports of the number of Israeli civilian dead, with over 200 civilians injured and wounded.<\/p>\n As late as 12:30pm on Saturday afternoon, mothers, fathers and children in southern towns and kibbutzim report they are still trapped in their homes surrounded by Palestinian militia shooting into their homes and in some cases setting homes on fire.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Screenshot from Israeli television staton Channel 12, published in Times of Israel, October 7, 2023). Born in Jersey City, growing up two hours north of New York City the heart of the 'Borscht Belt,' from the age of eight I received a wonderful, intense education in the world of music, theatre, art, ballet and creative writing. My first spiritual mentor was the larger-than-life, Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach who, with his passion and songs instilled in me the joy of loving God. My second spiritual mentor is the mystical, magical Siddha Master, Jivanmukta Swami Ganapati. He has been my guide, my teacher, my focus for 33 years. Parallel to my spiritual journey, my art (with great amusement) often intersects with my worldly life. While living in London, employed by the budding Walker Books Children's Book Publishing Company, my watercolors were invited to over a dozen competitions and two solo exhibitions. Having transitioned to the world of digital art, I created my techniques that resemble watercolor subtlety. Between 2021-2022 a selection of my digital paintings participated in 60 international exhibitions, competitions and publications \u2013 recipient of 39 awards and citations.
