Ugh, it hasn’t been a good week. A nasty virus hit me and most of the kids. My husband doesn’t get sick time so I’ve had to struggle along the best I can. Thankfully I seem to be on the mend, but my throat is still really sore.

Please pray that we all get healthy and stay healthy this next week — my husband and I are taking a trip out of town for our 17th wedding anniversary over Labor Day weekend, and I really don’t want anything to mess up our (non-refundable) plans!

Speaking of doctors (bad segue, I know, but I’m still a bit feverish):

I have a job posting a friend asked me to share. Location is upper Midwest, near a university town with low cost-of-living. If you know anyone who’s interested, have them email me and I will pass their info on.

“My husband has asked me to have blogging friends put out feelers: his hospital is looking to fill an OB position as one of his partners is retiring. Solidly Catholic facility (and super supportive) – they start orientation by saying “We are an authentically Catholic hospital.” Small, rural hospital that is part of a 13 hospital system. Salary and benefits are good. Emphasis on work/life balance. Seriously. It’s like the golden egg for Catholic OBs. Good pay, good benefits, good schedule, supportive admin, Catholic.”
