NOTE: No, I have no idea what has happened to my header and all of my pictures. Inquiries to photobucket are not yet answered. One second I had pictures, the next, I did not. Is anyone else having problems with photobucket?

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE BOOKSHELF – Go here.

The US knew about AlQ in the 1990’s?

How come everything in this country can get leaked except the redacted portions of this report?

This is good to hang on to, if for no other reason than to remember “Echalon”.

President Bush gets so little praise, this is worth noting.

Too little, too late, of course – but here is more in support of DPW.

Repeat after me: Socialized Medicine Does Not Work Socialized Medicine Does Not Work Socialized Medicine Does Not Work

Wally and the Beav discuss Iran and nukes – which Alexandra then takes up a notch, including a chilling graphic. Fausta, in her nicely-newly designed blog, highlights the Congressional testimony of Michael Ledeen as concerns Iran, nukes and what in the world can be done about it. Very interesting.

Dr. Sanity has been just batting 1000 for several days now. This piece on the rape of unveiled women is enlightening and maddening. But you know, read everything she’s written for the past few days, it’s all good.

Confederate Yankee has pictures and information about the babbling hyena, Mrs. Sheehan, if you can stand it. I’m sorry. I know, I have never before referred to her as anything by Cindy Sheehan or Mrs. Sheehan – I think I might have called her a media whore, once – but “babbling hyena” is simply justified at this point. He also links to a blurb on Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong Clinton and wonders if she knows that we are first a nation of laws, not a nation of men.

Dr. Helen writes smart on the dubious value of “group” therapy for victims of sexual abuse as children.

Cathouse Chat has discovered an excellent butter-delivery system, which reminds me, St. Patrick’s Day is coming – I must make some Irish Soda Bread!

The Amateur Catholics are coming out of the woodwork. Go read their applications!

Julie has six links you want to read one is more interesting than the next. Seriously – go read.

God save us Catholics from some of our bishops. This one is a real lulu.

Gerald has figured out who ruined Catholic music

Meanwhile, I can imagine that this caused great pain for many sisters back then.

One of the most generous bloggers around is Siggy, who routinely focuses on posts by other bloggers and picks the juiciest morsels of their work in order to tempt you to go read them. He often also focuses on his commenters. He’s done it again, here, but don’t let that stop you from checking out his whole blog, and his own thoughtful essays. He is an unusual blogger – you should be visiting him daily.

No, this is not Buster but he says he’d be proud to claim it. He also said if he were 17 he’d have his driver’s license.

Heh. A vote of no confidence for Kofi

Newton is in the mood to do some smacking around. We need to take that Louisville slugger away from her.

Yeah…this is about right.

Your Values Profile
Loyalty:

You value loyalty a fair amount.
You’re loyal to your friends… to a point.
But if they cross you, you will reconsider your loyalties.
Staying true to others is important to you, but you also stay true to yourself.

Honesty:

You value honesty a fair amount.
You’re honest when you can be, but you aren’t a stickler for it.
If a little white lie will make a situation more comfortable, you’ll go for it.
In the end, you mostly care about “situational integrity.”

Generosity:

You value generosity highly.
So much so that you often put your own needs last.
There’s nothing wrong with having a caring heart…
But you may want to rethink your “open wallet” policy.

Humility:

You value humility a fair amount.
You tend to be an easy going, humble person.
But occasionally your ego takes over.
You have a slight competitive streak – and the need to be the best.

Tolerance:

You value tolerance highly.
Not only do you enjoy the company of those very different from you…
You do all that you can to seek it out interesting and unique friends.
You think there are many truths in life, and you’re open to many of them.
