Time to recap the previous week of the Witchual Workout! If you don’t know about it – the Witchual Workout is a daily program designed to get you (and me) up and moving regularly – with a dash of magical inspiration to help build and enhance your daily practice. You don’t have to be a dancer of any kind to participate and I encourage you to listen to your body and modify as needed. Many of these episodes can be done from a seated position as well.

This past week’s collection of 4 episodes delves into the Anatomy of the Witch with the Witch Lungs, then exploring the secrets of the Serpent, working with Brigid, and overcoming challenges on your path – all vital tools for recognizing the Sacred Self.

Monday, January 25th – Witchual Workout 123: Witch Lungs
Mondays tend to have a lunar focus, and today the moon is waxing, with the full moon just a few days away. This a good time to do work associated with building, blessing, and increase. In order to do that properly, we need to be able to breathe, so today we explore the 4 primary mysteries of the Witch Lungs: interconnectivity, invisible-visible, sacred space, and sovereignty.

Tuesday, January 26th – Witchual Workout 124: Oracle – Snake
Today is an oracle day and we received the Snake spirit. The Snake is a messenger, bringing us words of wisdom and transformation. We may not immediately understand what the snake reveals to us, but if we take a breath and move slowly, it will unfold before us.

Wednesday, January 27th – Witchual Workout 125: Brigid
Today we look to the divine for inspiration and work with the Goddess Brigid – who has many names and titles. She oversees fertility, animal husbandry, metalsmithing, fiber arts, poetry/bardic arts, and much more. She is typically honored at this time of year via Imbolc or Candlemas, and today we make a trip to one of her many wells for our movement inspiration.

Thursday, January 28th – Witchual Workout 126: Tarot – Seven of Wands
Today is a Tarot day and we received the Seven of Wands. Seven is a number of pursuit and wands deal with ideas and plans. The 7 of Wands often signifies encountering conflict and competition – and our first expectation is to look outside of ourselves for it. But instead, let us consider what road blocks we may put in our own way to slow us down, as well as things we falsely perceive about others. If we focus on what’s important to make our goals happen, the barriers are cleared away. NOTE: so this video got blocked b/c there’s extremely strict copyright conditions to Prince’s music. I’ve muted the song, but have included below the official YouTube channel to the song with it keyed up to go. I don’t actually talk at all during the song, so just start the song in a separate tab at 5:54 and let it play as you watch the video in your current one.
