Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.
I’ve made some really special and powerful sigils over the years, and it makes me very happy that people resonate with them – whether in a personal or public manner. This morning, I crafted a new shared public sigil that I feel has amazing potential.
I present to you the Wise Word (RBC) Sigil:

The Wise Word (RBC) Sigil
The world could definitely use more clear and respectful communication. In today’s society, people have a tendency to rush about, not taking the time to fully comprehend what they’re being presented with, while also feeling prompted that they have to respond in some way. Ill-prepared responses often create a cacophonous feedback loop, raising stress levels. In order to reduce miscommunication and stress, critical thinking, reading comprehension, and active listening must be engaged.
The Wise Word Sigil has the following built into it:
-focus of attention on the heart of the matter and intent of the message/word
-enhances ability to understand what’s being communicated
-encourages new and creative thought patterns to increase comprehension
-promotes balanced listening and learning, quieting the noise
-interrupts feedback loops of a negative nature while aiding positive interaction
-prevents knee-jerk, uninformed, disrespectful, and/or irrelevant responses
-instills contemplation and deeper thinking
What to do with this sigil:
You are welcome to use this sigil however you see fit that is in alignment with the intent of the sigil. As long as it’s not used for profit/commercially, you can wear it, share it, draw it in appropriate places. Computers, phones, classrooms, meeting rooms – places where communication take place are ideal. It could be embedded in websites, emails, and signs. As a shared magic/community symbol, the more it is used, the higher it resonates and influences.
High resolution version posted below – and the sigil is protected by the Creative Commons License, details below:

Oh yes, one last thing. RBC stands for “Read Before Commenting” or you could called it the Rebeco Sigil. That part goes out to a very special group of people. I’d say they would know who they are, but they never read. Of course after this, they might!
