What Happens When We Apply Jimmy Kimmel’s Feminism to Jimmy Kimmel? 2018-09-25T12:51:31-04:00 Susan Wright
Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.
Truly, if you’re going to appoint yourself the voice of male feminism and a crusader against the scourges of right wing treachery, maybe do a thorough scrub of your own odious background.
For today’s episode of “Hypocrite Theater,” we’re giving special honor to Jimmy Kimmel, the outspoken host of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” late night show.
Kimmel is a comedian, writer, and producer with a packed background in his field. His late night show is quite popular and reaches a broad audience each night.
With that platform, Kimmel has done what other entertainers have been doing for countless years, and feels the urge to insert his personal politics into his monologue, each night.
His latest target, as can be expected, is the controversy surrounding Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
Kavanaugh, as you know, is currently caught up in a swirling mess of accusations of youthful sexual misconduct.
Should such behavior, done decades ago during high school disqualify him?
Did he even do it? He swears he did not (and even said in a recent interview that he was a virgin throughout high school).
He has more than one accuser, now, and each one’s tale of victimization is as flimsy and baseless as the one before.
Meanwhile, the nation is at a boil, as some believe innocent until proven guilty still applies, and others just want to see Kavanaugh bounced from consideration, no matter what it takes.
With the latter, a heavy dose of partisan politics is involved, as those who are protesting Kavanaugh are mainly far left abortion advocates, so afraid of a Republican-appointed nominee to the Supreme Court and the chance that Roe v. Wade will be overturned, that they’re losing their grip on sanity.
You can toss Mr. Kimmel in with that simmering cauldron of idiocy.
As part of his “woke” and #Resist monologue on Monday night, Kimmel offered up what he saw as a compromise in the Kavanaugh situation.
Said Kimmel:
“I think there’s a compromise here. Hear me out on this. So, Kavanaugh gets confirmed to the Supreme Court, okay. Well, in return, we get to cut that pesky penis of his off in front of everyone.”

You’re so woke, Jimmy.
I’m sure when he and his writers came up with that line, they really felt they were making a stand and sticking it to the oppressive, right wing patriarchy!
I mean, in the minds of the left, especially in this age of guerilla feminism and their neutered male foot soldiers, this is just the kind of thing men should be advocating for other men.
Root out that bad behavior! Root it out all the way back to the days of 6 year old oppressors, stealing unwanted kisses from their pig-tailed victims on playgrounds, before running away!
Castration for them all! NO exceptions!
Right, Jimmy?
I said RIGHT, JIMMY??
More gems from #Kimmel.
Here he has women feel his crotch to guess what he stuffed in his pants.

OH – Yeah. That’s Jimmy Kimmel, on the streets just a few short years ago, having women search for “something” he’s hidden in the front of his pants. He suggests one put her mouth on it.
He approaches one young lady and laughingly asks if she’s 18.
It’s all in good fun, right? I mean, boys will be boys, eh, Jimmy?
Then there’s this wonderful skit, as I’m sure you all remember Jimmy’s time as a co-host of “The Man Show,” a comedy gem of blatant, unapologetic misogyny that ran from 1999 to 2004.
If anyone has any familiarity with that show, you’ll remember the favored segment of each show was always “Girls on Trampolines” – a montage of nothing but scantily clad women, jumping up and down on trampolines, their breasts and buttocks jiggling seductively for the viewing pleasure of the audience of [mainly] men.
For most part, the show was painfully unfunny, and I say that as someone who doesn’t take offense easily.
But if you consider Kimmel’s new position of zero tolerance for “male behaviors,” going back to childhood, then how much more should his policy apply to him, when the actions and attitudes he actively participated in and promoted as an adult are so egregious?
I don’t recall any mea culpa moments along the way from him. Just a lot of obnoxious hypocrisy.
I’ll await the news of the handmaid’s protesting outside the studios or in the back of the audience at one of his tapings.
