Staying in the present moment is an important step in creating what you want. Our point of power is in the present moment. If our energy is always focused on the past or worried about the future, we will not have the energy to accomplish anything in the present. It’s important to look to the future, to envision a goal and to see what direction to head, but then we must stay focused in the present and allow our intuition to tell us what actions to take.

One way to keep your energy focused in the present is to focus on your breath. When you focus on your breath, you no longer feel stressed or worried about the past or the future. It is a simple reminder to help you stay in the present moment.

Imagine that you are in a sailboat on the ocean. In the distance you spot the island you wish to sail to, but as you proceed on your journey, you also stay present and alert to your immediate surroundings. You pay attention to your boat, your sails, your rudder, and the ocean directly in front of you. If there are any rocks or obstacles in your way, you want to be able to spot them. While keeping your vision on your goal, you stay in the present moment, and appreciate the journey. This is one of the best ways to reach your dreams without struggle.
