Connect
Last updated on: April 13, 2012 at 1:00 am By Ragan Sutterfield
Phones. We use them to stay connected, but in many ways they separate us. As much as you possibly can, go without a phone. Don’t text, don’t talk. Put it in a sleeping bag. See how this act affects your sense of presence. Note: We normally fast on Fridays, but in Easter season we celebrate the presence of the risen Christ with us in a continual Sunday. This is not the time for fasting; it is a time of celebration.... Read more

Proclaim the Gospel
Last updated on: April 10, 2012 at 5:29 am By Ragan Sutterfield
“Proclaim the gospel always; use words when necessary.” This quote attributed to St. Francis is a powerful statement on how the Good News that Christ is King gets spread. Pray that God will show you one way to proclaim the gospel through actions rather than words today. It could be as simple as picking up trash along the street, taking the time to talk to a lonely person, or secretly giving a struggling couple money for a meal together. Read more

God is Dead
Last updated on: April 7, 2012 at 8:21 am By Ragan Sutterfield
“God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we, murderers of all murderers, console ourselves? That which was the holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet possessed has bled to death under our knives. Who will wipe this blood off us? With what water could we purify ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we need to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us?” These... Read more
