How to Ruin Your Child’s Free Time (In Five Easy Steps) 2019-02-13T18:46:04+00:00 Sarah Hamaker

LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

In this week’s video blog, I give five easy steps for parents to follow to ruin their children’s free time. Whether it’s an unexpected snow day, spring break, summer vacation or a Saturday, we can make sure our kids have highly structured, educational time not to themselves. Plus I include how NOT to ruin your child’s free time.

  1. Make everything about education.
  2. Be involved. Be very involved.
  3. Curb those free-range tendencies.
  4. Become their cruise director.
  5. Let their imaginations atrophy.

By following these simple steps, you, too, can wreck your child’s free moments every time.
