“Til death do us part” was starting to sound like a pretty long time. I was looking for ways to improve my marriage fast.
We’d been married less than five years, but it felt like 105.
Why?
We fought about the same stuff over and over again.
I wanted so badly for things to improve.
Do you wonder, “How can I improve my marriage fast?”
You can.
Perhaps you’re in the same place I was all those years ago.
You want things to be different in your marriage. Now. You want change.
But you’re waiting for him to change, which makes perfect sense because he’s the problem.
What if you discovered the thing that needs to change is you?
When I was miserable in my marriage, the last thing I thought that needed to change was me.
I was the one who was holding it together.
I was being the wife and trying to tell him how to be a husband. It was exhausting.
I spent many nights on my side of the bed with my back to him, stewing until I fell asleep.
I’d wake up tired because I knew the new day was going to be just like the last one.
Then I discovered my marriage could be different. I learned I was doing marriage the wrong way.
I discovered I could change my marriage without any help from him.
I noticed when I changed the way I responded to him, he changed the way he responded to me.
I noticed when I smiled, he smiled back. When I complimented him, he seemed happier and wanted to do things to make me happy. And my marriage started getting better.
Was it easy? No. But it was worth it.
After years of trial and error, I developed a list of skills that revolutionized my marriage. And they will revolutionize your marriage, too.
I translated timeless principles into practical tools that work perfectly for modern-day marriage.
You can change your marriage, too, and you don’t have to become a doormat to do it.
Marriage is tough, but it doesn’t have to be.
Here are 11 things you can do to start improving your marriage fast.
