As you might have noticed, my writing has been a bit non-existent as of late. That’s because I’ve been a bit busy planning a wedding, getting married, and now, going on my honeymoon. I may try to squeeze some blogging in, in between doing the things honeymooners do, but for now I just thought I’d take a couple of posts to share with you all the vows that Abe and I wrote together.

Later this week, I’ll share our serious vows with some commentary on why we chose the words we chose. But this first set of vows is just Abe and I being silly. Our wedding was Comic Con themed, and we thought, “What kind of things would nerds like us promise one another?” Here’s what we came up with.

Sarah: I, Sarah

Abe: And I, Abe

Both: By the power of Grayskull

Sarah: Vow to be your companion.

Abe: Your drift partner.

Sarah: If you ever get bitten by a zombie, I vow to end it quickly.

Abe: I vow to fight and defeat all seven of your evil exes.

Sarah: I will watch over Abe Kobylanski as he attempts to fulfill the Dark Lord’s wishes.

Abe: I vow to never give you up, never let you down, never run around and desert you.

Sarah: I vow to save Abe Kobylanski from the middle of the Dalek fleet! And then I’m gonna save the Earth! And then, just to finish off, I’m gonna wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky!

Abe: If you have a burden that’s too hard to bear, know that I can’t carry it for you, but I can carry you, Ms. Sarah.

Sarah: For better, for worse.

Abe: For richer, for poorer.

Sarah: In T-virus infection and in health.

Abe: To love and to cherish.

Sarah: Until the final course is served at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Both: So say we all.
