Last week I spent three days helping coordinate media interviews and meetings at the G20 Interfaith Forum (IF20) in Salt Lake City. The forum brought together former heads of state, diplomats, religious leaders and humanitarian advocates from around the world to talk about war, poverty, AI and a lot more.

A highlight for me was meeting Martin Luther King III and helping with his media interviews. He was warm and down-to-earth, just a really nice guy. It’s hard not to think about his family’s history when you’re talking with him.

I also helped set up meetings with Elder Gerrit W. Gong of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, and Jewish and Muslim leaders from Jerusalem and the Middle East who are working to bring their communities closer together.

I’ve worked a lot of events over the years, but I don’t often get to spend three days around people working this hard on problems this big. I’m grateful I got to be part of it.
