Shame is Replaced by True Identity by Robert Ricciardelli 2012-02-02T11:44:29-08:00 editorconvergingzone

LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

Many people are living with not only a lot of anxiety, but also with a lot of shame. Their experiences in life have left them feeling inadequate, ignorant, and unworthy. Guilt comes about by things we have done or not done, but our shame is a conscious feeling of emptiness in our very being, and often becomes a lingering wound. Shame is not resolved by changing behavior as much as by changing our very self-image and worth. Christ covers our shame, and then uproots our shame by giving us a new identity as a beloved child of God.

Are you currently dealing with any lingering shame issues?

Are you willing to surrender the pain and deception of shame in order to receive the new life God has for you?

You are an unique child of God, a child of royalty, and shame has no part of you any longer. The Lord has lifted your head for all-time.
