Treading Upon Lions and Serpents by James Ryle

Last updated on: April 24, 2011 at 1:22 pm   By editorconvergingzone

“You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot” (Psalm 91:13). The symbolism of this language must not be dismissed; not should we pass too quickly from pondering its weighty significance for our lives today. For the language used in this verse is consistent with a recurring theme found throughout the entire Bible. In the Garden of Eden we first see Satan in the guise of a serpent. Then moving forward... Read more

Un Corazón que No se Ofende by Francis Frangipane

Last updated on: April 24, 2011 at 1:18 pm   By editorconvergingzone

Read more

Unoffendable by Francis Frangipane

Last updated on: April 24, 2011 at 1:15 pm   By editorconvergingzone

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh” (Ezek. 36:26). God has a new heart for us that cannot be offended, an “unoffendable” heart. Beloved, possessing an unoffendable heart is not an option or a luxury; it’s not a little thing. An offended heart is endanger of becoming a “heart of stone.” Consider: Jesus warns that,... Read more

All of God by Dudley Hall

Last updated on: April 24, 2011 at 1:13 pm   By editorconvergingzone

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:20-21 (ESV) After we have finally concluded that Jesus has acted for us in securing our salvation from the... Read more

Burying Your Ego By John Maxwell

Last updated on: April 24, 2011 at 1:10 pm   By editorconvergingzone

Best known to Americans as the Mexican general at the Alamo, Santa Anna consistently made catastrophic political and military blunders. During the course of his public career, Santa Anna lost 1/3 of Mexico’s territory in warfare, and sold another 30,000 acres to the United States to finance his attempts to suppress revolt. PBS, in its series Perspectives on the West, cites egotism as the cause of the general’s failures as a leader:  The dominant figure in Mexican politics for much... Read more

Let God Flourish in Your Garden by Robert Ricciardelli

Last updated on: April 23, 2011 at 6:02 am   By Robert Ricciardelli

In the confidence we have in the Seed of the Kingdom, we are being cultivated by God and at the same time participate in the cultivation of each other. We plant seeds, water, and relationally nurture each others hearts and lives. The offspring of the transformational growth in each of us becomes the fruit that remains, and the divine deposit into the lives of others. Let the Lord flourish in the garden of your life. Read more

Becoming a Divine Gardener by Robert Ricciardelli

Last updated on: April 22, 2011 at 5:59 am   By Robert Ricciardelli

We must make a transition from a sheriff to a gardener when we realize that God Himself is a Gardener, not a sheriff. God does the pruning while cultivating and drawing out the seed of His creation. We must surrender our sheriff’s badge and legalistic pistol and engage ourselves in godly cultivation. We can effectively love those who are hurting when we use the bible as a seed bag rather than an ammo pouch. Read more

Relational Righteousness by Robert Ricciardelli

Last updated on: April 19, 2011 at 5:57 am   By Robert Ricciardelli

We remove Divine influence when we disengage from the conversation and do not seek to understand others. Religion limits the transformation of people and society. People do not care about your doctrine as much as being valued and loved. God is raising up a people who will love unconditionally, and be relationally right more than doctrinally demanding while God brings the revelation of His righteousness. Read more

“We The People” Are Amazing by Robert Ricciardelli

Last updated on: April 18, 2011 at 5:46 am   By Robert Ricciardelli

There is an awakening happening in the hearts of humanity, and a longing for authentic living, relationships, and personal significance. “We the People” are amazing, and our freedom makes the leaders of controlled and manipulative systems nervous. The climate is changing and people simply want more and want real. Divine illumination of the real and exposure to the fake is a God glorifying game changer. Read more

Reactionaries Rarely Win by Robert Ricciardelli

Last updated on: April 16, 2011 at 5:43 am   By Robert Ricciardelli

We do not react to external consequences of religion, politics, or economics. As ambassadors for God, we shall not moved by the illegitimate movements of mankind. While God does call upon us to respond in His love, we initiate according to what He is doing or desiring to do. Our judgments are not our own, but His. Reactionaries rarely win, but intentional instigators of goodwill and of love, hold the keys of life. Read more
