LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

David Schloss is a Connecticut-based freelance writer and adult convert to Catholicism from Judaism. With a degree in Liberal Arts emphasizing philosophy and religious studies, David brings a thoughtful, intellectually grounded perspective to his writing.

In his Summa Catholic column at Patheos, he explores the harmony between faith and reason, drawing inspiration from thinkers such as Saint Thomas Aquinas and Father Thomas Joseph White. A former RCIA instructor in New York and contributor to Catholic Stand, David sees writing as both a means of sharing and deepening his own faith. He encourages aspiring religion writers to seek out works of enduring depth rather than reading broadly for its own sake.

David said, “What I enjoy most about contributing to Patheos is the opportunity to explain and explore my faith with others.”

And David has this advice for future Patheos contributors: “Read well, not necessarily widely. By that, I mean focus on reading quality books and material.”
