Live In Consciousness or Die In Ego
By bruce Adams
On the back of my first book “It Is All One Truth,” I wrote, “Live In Consciousness or Die In Ego.”
What has escaped many in this world is that Ultimately, there are only two states of consciousness available to us at any given time. When viewed from the most basic terms, these two states could be described as being awake or asleep. Another way of describing the only real choice we have is to say we are constantly choosing between Life and Death.
Obviously, the death I speak of is not a physical death but rather a temporary lose of awareness.
To get a clearer picture of what I mean, it would be helpful to take a closer look at the story of Creation in Genesis. As the story unfolds, we hear that God created Everything including Man (male/female). Once the physical body was created, God blew the Breath of Life into the body and the body became a living soul.
In the story, the first individuals that symbolized both life and death were named Adam and Eve. According to the story as it was written, God told Adam and Eve they could have anything they desired and they would lack for nothing. Along with this declaration he added one caveat. That caveat comprised both a warning and a promise.
The warning was, it was forbidden to eat of the “Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil” (a metaphor that represents judgement). The promise that followed was, if they ignored his warning they would die.
Upon further examination of the story, it can be found that the promise of death was not meant to be some far off future event but rather, an immediate experience. This can be seen by the promise that they would die the very day they ate of the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (judged God’s perfected Creation).
Being that your understanding of this is so essential to your life, I would like to take another moment in hopes that everyone gets the real meaning of the metaphor represented in the story.
If you understand that what God created was/is and will always remain perfect, you set the stage to the experience of your True Perfected Self i.e. LIFE.
On the other hand, if you wish another experience other than that perfected state, you have that option. The option I am speaking of is to defy God’s warning and eat of the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (see something other than perfection in the here and the NOW!).
Each of these choices creates a vibration which attracts to it a like frequency in terms of what comes as experience.
Although the principle of manifestation is the similar for both choices, there are very contrasting experiences created. One of the most profound differences between what is manifested relative to the choices we make to be experienced is their longevity. What is created without a judgmental mind is operating in accord with spirit is infinite and called Life. Conversely, what is created based on an ego’s dualistic view is temporary and what is known as death.
For those who are awake or are consciously cognizant of this truth, it is obvious why Jesus stated, you will not be hurt by the second death (the death of the body). In this world, the vast majority are so use to judging everything and everyone that the death experience has become the goal and the treasure.
While that may be true, I would like to also say, everyone is moving individually as well as collectively on their path to their re-birthing (awakening). Such an experience brings with it moments of clarity and many other moments of fear (False Evidence Appearing Real).
For those who are far enough along on their way to awakening to this Truth, you can probably relate to the experience the Apostle Paul described as dying on a daily basis.
In closing, I wish to reiterate yet again, in no way do I mean to imply that anyone must become a Christian in order to awaken and live. The experience of becoming reborn is available to All and has nothing to do with Jesus dying for your sins. Although Christ was a savior and demonstrated that the only way to become reborn is to live in the moment without judgment, he did not mean to say you should worship him but rather, you should live as he lived. If a self proclaimed atheist lives with no judgment and practices unconditional love, he is good to go.
Regardless of your path or what religion you practice, if you wish to awaken yourself and live awakened in this world you may find yourself reinterpreting your view of reality itself!
More to come…
Love and Light,
Brother Bruce
