by Bruce Adams
Before I begin this blog I wish to warn anyone who does not have an interest in waking up that what you are about to read could have a profound effect on you. You may never be able to sleepwalk through life so soundly again.
There is a saying that I heard some years ago that is true for some and not for others. The saying is., “ignorance is bliss”. Obviously for those who wish to continue on with their current view of reality and have no desire to change, remaining ignorant (unaware) is to appropriate for them. On the other hand, for those who wish to awaken to a greater level of awareness the opposite is true. This blog is for those who wish to awaken and if that is something you do not desire stop reading now!
Still with me? O.K. then. What you are about to read is more about the basic process of thought and not about religion or religious beliefs. Spiritual speaking God did not set out to create religions. Religions are a creation born out of the mind of man as man’s consciousness started toevolve. In Prophet or Madman I speak of two Ultimate states of consciousness. One is (Love) (Eternally perfect and never changing) the other is Fear (incapable of perfection and forever evolving through various dimensions of time and space).
When Buddha spoke of being awake or when Christ spoke of being perfect, they obviously were referring to something that goes beyond the comprehension of a human mind.
The Bhagavad-Gita states that without realization of our divine relationship with the God it is impossible to establish our eternal relationship with Him. This divine relationship is our natural constitutional position and every human beings birthright.
Although I feel aligned with the overall concepts of the Bhagavad-Gita, I believe care should be taken when reading certain concepts. For example, when the Gita states “without realization of our divine relationship with God it is impossible to establish our eternal relationship with God” it would be wise to see that what is said is a relative truth and not an absolute.
In terms of absolute Reality (what is beyond what is perceived) you have no choice but to have an eternal relationship with God. In relative terms (what is believed to be true from a position of clouded/partial vision) the Gita is correct when it asserts “without realization of our divine relationship with God” it is impossible to establish our eternal relationship with God.
In other words, without being awake and aware of God, the veil upon the eyes that clouds our vision remains forever and limits our experiences.
That said, I would like to get back to the precept that you can never go back. When I started writing this blog, I wanted to talk primarily about how thought and consciousness contribute into what is experienced. Once again, for those who read Prophet or Madman, you may recall I referred to the soul as a unit of consciousness within a greater consciousness. It is from that viewpoint that I now speak. As a unit of consciousness all souls are on a journey of self discovery. At the core of every soul resides the same loving essence that remains in its pure state for all of eternity. The veil that keeps the realization of this from almost all is quite different however and individualized relative to choices made. In terms of what is seen or believed to be real everyone has a slightly different and unique lens in which to see through. As each soul processes its experiences on its journey the lens is adjusted and a new frequency is established. This is true both in and beyond this world and why Jesus and other masters have spoken of a hierarchy in the dimensions beyond this world.
Within the dream that exists, everything that is experienced is a reflection of what is combined with your beliefs. As your beliefs change through experience, you open the door to greater levels of awareness which alters the frequency of your thoughts as well as your own unique frequency.
Each new level of frequency is different and unique from the one it replaced.
Much like that saying, “You can not put the cat back into the bag and pretend you do not know there is a cat in the bag.” As you grow in understanding, and become aware of what was previously unknown, you vibrate at a different frequency making it impossible to recreate or duplicate an exact replica of a prior moment.
In other words, you can not pretend to not know that which you became aware of. This is why you can never go back.
Regardless of your path or what religion you practice, if you wish to awaken yourself and live awakened in this world you may find yourself reinterpreting your view of reality itself!
More to come…
Love and Light,
Brother Bruce
