Unknown<\\/a><\\/h2>\\n I am a a 5 Blue Star Mother.\\u00a0<\\/a> While that title is quite daunting, I hope against hope that I never become a Gold Star Mother.<\\/a> Gold Star families have given the ultimate sacrifice. Their loved one. Over the years of being a military mom, I have written poems, sang songs and played music for those who have lost those they hold dear to their hearts serving the country. The sorrow is palpable. Their tears permeate the very souls of all around. As we celebrate Memorial Day<\\/a> on Monday<\\/a>, let us not forget why we do so. It it for these precious ones that gave all. I wrote this poem when a dear mother lost her son in the Middle East. May all who have perished in service memory be a blessing.<\\/p>\\n

Unknown<\/a><\/h2>\n I am a a 5 Blue Star Mother.\u00a0<\/a> While that title is quite daunting, I hope against hope that I never become a Gold Star Mother.<\/a> Gold Star families have given the ultimate sacrifice. A Tribute to a Gold Star Soldier\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\u00a0By a 5 Blue Star mother<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/h2>\n Gold<\/a> is a precious metal, the finest and the best.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It symbolizes wealth, beauty and riches that only some can possess.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To see it\u2019s color is magnificent, particularly in the sun.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n But even on dreary days gold emerges and reveals the beautiful rays and the strength of the sun.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In spiritual terms gold is pure, a healer and a symbol of faith.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s beauty, It\u2019s preciousness means that no one can disgrace.<\/span><\/p>\n Gold is powerful<\/a> and beautiful and symbolizes victory.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The shine of gold embodies the love of God himself because it can last for eternity.<\/span><\/p>\n Gold\u2019s scarcity shows that only few can possess it\u2019s shine, it\u2019s goodness and its uniqueness.<\/span><\/p>\n To be gold it takes fire, tenacity and grit.\u00a0 Strength of Character and the will to never quit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Real Gold never fears the fire but runs towards it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gold is the color that a soldier receives when he rushes to the values in which he cleaves.<\/span><\/p>\n The value to serve, honor and protect the country that he loves best.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n He gave the ultimate sacrifice, he gave service until his last breath.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Gold is the perfect way to see that this soldier, this brave guardian gave his life so that we can be free.<\/span><\/p>\n So you see gold is the standard this soldier came to be when he gave it all for the cause of liberty.<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/a> Image Courtesy of Canva Pro<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n Recently, I had to write another poem for a Mama who lost her baby. To those who lost their loved ones in Afghanistan<\/a> 3 years ago, my prayers are continually with you. I remember your precious ones and I thank you for their service. It is never an easy task to write a poem for someone mourning the loss of their loved one, but it is necessary. We must take care of our soldiers. This sentiment is coming from my heart as a Mama who is about to have 2 children deployed. This was in honor of a dear young man who was 18 who died in service to the US. May his memory be a blessing.<\/p>\n To a fallen soldier, you will always be close to my heart<\/h3>\n There is a love that I have heard of, a love that spans the ages of time.\u00a0 A love that cannot fade even during rough times. \u00a0 A love that is unconditional, a love that is like a rock, a love that knows there are peaks and valleys but never on her part.\u00a0 This love comes from the core of her being, it is as natural as the sun.\u00a0 There is nothing that can shake it, no wind, no rain or violence because this love, it is the love of a mother for her precious soldier son.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" **Our flag does not fly because the wind blows it \u2013 it flies with the last breath of every soldier who died defending it.
