Be the kind of woman who, when your feet hit the floor each morning, the devil says, “Oh NO! She’s up!” — Joanne Clancy

In the last few days, I have become aware of the trial of Lindsay Clancy, a woman accused of strangling her 3 small children to death. After her heinous act, she then tried to take her own life by cutting herself and throwing herself out of a window. When I read the headline, I was instantly saddened for the whole family, particularly those 3 small lives who are undoubtedly in the arms of Jesus as we speak. Why did this have to happen? I’ve said it in the last several articles I’ve written: he who steals, kills, and destroys strikes again. One perplexing consequence has arisen from this heinous crime: a bevy of women have started standing in solidarity with the mother. They’ve become armchair psychologists and psychiatrists who are chanting. “I stand with Lindsay.” When I read this, I was shocked! Why would anyone stand with a mother who took the lives of her little ones? I have a prayerful theory; I do hope you will take a moment and listen.

The Internet Can be a Dumpster Fire

In our internet age, we have instant access to copious amounts of information that is often false. Gone are the days of finding out the truth after all the facts have been laid out. We instantly pick a side that fits in our echo chamber of influence. It is a wonder that we can think critically at all. I want to tell you a story; I hope you will listen with open ears. It’s about a sneaky teacher who was looking for itching ears. He slithered and snuck and pranced around. Surely a gullible person could be found. He knew that the culture was waning from its Judeo-Christian ways; they were ripe for the pickin’, he thought, as he made his merry way.

Our sneaky teacher found a town full of silly people who were very bored. Some had too much time on their hands, while others’ minds were idle with no plans; the sneaky teacher knew he had found his town to weasel his way in. He came to the town center and sang a terrible song. He sang it over and over; it made no sense, but it was catchy, so the silly ones sang along. The sky is pink, the moon is red, the water is a trap! You don’t need to be friendly and ask questions in life! It’s all a trap! Follow me! Follow me! I’ve got the answers now! You will be legion! We will go from town to town!

Idle Minds are Indeed the Devil’s Plaything

The silly ones sang the song and convinced everyone the sky was pink; they stopped drinking water and never asked questions at all. They even looked at the moon and told everyone, “It’s red! Your eyes have been fooling you all along.” When the teacher knew he had them, he said, “Now go and spread the truth! You are my legion of truth tellers! The world is against us! They are idiots who do not understand the truth!” As the silly ones went from town to town, many joined their quest. The silly legion, led by their sneaky teacher, knew there were many itching ears. He knew he could kill, steal, and destroy even more Judeo-Christian values and lead the legion to more sin. Lives were destroyed, families were crushed. He knew he could win.

When his plan succeeded, and the silly ones were truly a legion large, the culture, the children were swept up in lies! The Sneaky man won! When the Father of All Light shone a light of truth on the silly ones, it was too late; their lives were ruined along with others around them. The sneaky teacher ran away to find more silly people to string along. When they realized their teacher had fooled them, they cried, begged, and asked the Father to forgive them for their sin. As any loving Father would, He told them yes, they did have His forgiveness for their sin. He gave them a stern warning and cast out the sneaky teacher from their midst. He was done with him. The Father looked at them lovingly and said, “Dear ones, don’t let your minds become idle and listen to My words. In 2 Timothy, My precious Word says,

The Scripture Tells us What is Happening

Remember [Know] this! In the last days there will be many troubles [difficult/terrible times], because people will love themselves, love money, brag [boast], and be proud [arrogant]. They will say evil things against others [speak abusively; or blaspheme] and will not obey their parents or be thankful [grateful] or be the kind of people God wants [holy; pious]. They will not love others, will refuse to forgive [reconcile], will gossip [slander], and will not control themselves. They will be cruel [brutal], will hate [not love] what is good, will turn against their friends [be treacherous/traitors], and will do foolish things without thinking [be reckless]. They will be conceited, will love pleasure instead of God, and will act as if they serve God [L having a form/appearance of godliness/piety] but will not have his [or deny his/its] power. Stay away from [Avoid] those people. [For] Some of them go [sneak; worm their way; talk their way] into homes and get control of [captivate; gain influence over] silly [vulnerable; or idle] women who are full of [or burdened with (the guilt of)] sin and are led [swayed; controlled] by many [all kinds of] evil desires. These women are always learning [or seeking out] new teachings, but they are never able to understand [arrive at] the truth fully.”

Don’t Let He Who Steals, Kills, and Destroys Win

After that, the Father told them, don’t become silly, and stay grounded in His Word. Don’t let him who kills, steals, and destroys have a foothold. Pray! Be watchful, be alert! As the Father left the city, the now-wise ones committed to pray, and to watch and listen before making a silly judgment in the coming days. The enemy prowls around like a lion, seeking to devour. Don’t give him a foothold! Trust in God’s Word and power!

Don’t Become Sucked Into the Legion Hive

Dear ones, this is what is happening in our culture. We are being silly and dragged into useless arguments about truly egregious things. If you had asked me 10 years ago if I thought what happened to this family was the result of demonic activity, I would have shaken my head and said no. But in these crazy days we are living in? What happened to that poor family was 100 percent demonic in every way. In our society, we have a deep and deadly problem that has taken root in the hearts and minds of people with silly, itching ears. When I saw the gaggle of women holding their children and saying, “I stand with Lyndsay,” I wept. Who is standing for those poor children? Who is standing for the father who lost his flesh and blood?

Depression is Real

Before you say, “Postpartum depression is real!” Yes, it is. I am the mother of 6 children; I remember the struggle. Particularly after my husband went back to work. We had 4 in diapers. There were days I could hardly keep it together; however, I knew that each of those precious ones was a gift from the Father above. Now as I hold my grandchild, I just can’t imagine standing in solidarity with sin. Should Lyndsay have compassion and forgiveness? Yes. Should she go to prison? Yes. Sin has consequences.

Timothy’s Words hit Home

What did Timothy mean when he referred to women as silly and weak-minded? I hate to be blunt, but he meant what he said. How like the enemy to take the tenderheartedness of women to exploit and issue; after the issue is exploited, internet arguments ensue; after they go into a fever pitch, people are ugly. Satan has weaseled his way once again into the cultural zeitgeist. Satan loves to ruin lives, take lives, and destroy families. The family was God’s creation from the beginning of time in the Book of Genesis. Satan knew that he could not compete with God’s plan, so he decided to destroy it. Destroy marriage, destroy children, cause whole factions of people to be slandered simply because they are not part of their “legion.”

Legion Has Gone After a Widow

This has happened with the widow of Charlie Kirk. She has been single-handedly destroyed by “I feel this happened.” Our feelings, unless regulated and rooted in the Gospel, lead us one way. Destruction. Dear ones, this is war. War with he who steals, kills, and destroys. Our battle is not against flesh and blood. It’s against those powers and principalities that do not care who they have to harm to weasel their way into destruction. I want to give you 5 Scriptures to meditate on when the temptation comes to join “legion.” After all, who was legion in the Bible? It was a bunch of demons trying to start trouble; Jesus cast them out into pigs so that they could go and find another willing host.

Set your mind on things above
In all things Pray
Ask God for guidance
Pray for your enemies.
Do not get sucked into the legion be vigilant.

Take a moment, take a deep breath and let He who gives life abundantly give you rest. Selah.
