In the veiling story I wrote yesterday I did not identify myself explicitly as a journalist to the women I spoke to privately. Mainly because I didn’t intend to write a story about veiling.

I did not out anyone in my story or paint any person in an unfair light. I did not directly quote anyone who had not made public statements regarding veiling on other sites. No one was harmed by my article to my knowledge, and only benefit has been derived from it that I have been able to discover.

I research a lot of things I never end up writing about. If I had been able to sleep Sunday night I likely would never have written about veiling. But I should have identified myself as a journalist anyway. I occasionally forget that I lost the right to be an anonymous Pagan years ago.

I screwed up. I apologize. It won’t happen again.
