LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

This is an entirely unsystematic, unscientific, personally biased list of my top 10 favorite Pagan Families posts from 2013. It’s obviously not all the good posts, or even all the great posts. It’s not necessarily the most read or shared or commented on posts either. But I tried to include posts from all our regular (and irregular) contributors, and to represent the range of topics we now cover. From pregnancy to postpartum, from sex education to adoption, from spiritual practice with toddlers to sending Pagan kids off to school — we remain focused on the childbearing year with lots of room to explore reproduction, family life, parenting, and Pagan spiritual paths. If you read only 10 posts from us this year, let it be these 10:

  1. Pagan Families readers shared their Community Wisdom For The NICU
  2. Joining Pagan Families as a new regular contributor, Molly offered a Body Blessing To And From The Mother
  3. Kira suggested Five Spiritual Practices To Do With Children Under Three
  4. Niki wrote about the spiritual journey of pregnancy and the Magic of Making a Life
  5. Molly recounted how she set off on a Small Adventure and wound up a berry warrior (it’s hard to sum up but it’s totally great; you should just go read it)
  6. I celebrated my little book’s first birthday with a week of Birth On The Labyrinth Path themed posts
  7. Guest contributor Cindy shared how a mother blessing ceremony could be adapted for Blessing The Wait To Become an Adoptive Parent
  8. Sunweaver argued that Abstinence Only Is Against My Religion
  9. Aurora Lightbringer outlined strategies for Advocating for Pagan Children in the Public School System
  10. At the Fall Equinox we launched a Picture Books For Pagan Families series by Meg Yardley

Thank you to all the contributors and all the readers who’ve made Pagan Families the resource it is today. We’ve got lots of good things brewing for 2014, including a possible new contributor and a mess of books to review and other projects too early in the gestation process to name, so stick around!

PS. Don’t forget to enter to win a free seat in the Natural Mama Circle from Wild Mother Arts. I’ll be picking a name from the virtual hat tomorrow.
