Speaking Out for Justice on Behalf of World Vision

LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

How do you listen to the voiceless?

How do you advocate for people in hard places?

How do you challenge people to think and live differently?

How do you live out Jesus’ extraordinary teachings in the midst of the mundane?

These questions have been on our minds for quite a while, and we continue to chew on them. We love interacting with others who do the same—that’s why we have this blog.

We have known about World Vision for quite a while: we sponsored a child before moving overseas and we saw their work in Nicaragua, Kenya, and South Africa.

And in the past couple of years, we’ve even gotten to collaborate with them: Chrissy wrote a Bible study series on Jesus and justice, and I got to visit their headquarters as part of some partnership between World Vision, InterVarsity, and Urbana.

North America needs to hear stories from the hard places, from the church overseas. Here in the U.S., it’s easy to find out about what’s happening overseas, but it’s hard to figure out what to actually do about it.

So we’re excited to join the World Vision Speakers Bureau as partner speakers (scroll down for us). We’re coming together, so we can share our experiences in international development work and missions and offer real ways people can help from right here in the U.S.

Let us know if you’d like us to come and speak at your church, on your campus, or at your conference or retreat.

Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream! –Amos 5:24
