Welcome to my second blog post on One Ummah, Many Voices!
Thank you for returning to my blog, One Ummah, Many Voices, where you can find links relating to Muslims or by Muslims that I feel are important to know about.
You may find this post a little more depressing than the last, but I tried to add some light hearted links to remind us all that there will always be a reason to smile. 🙂
Articles About Muslims:
East Jerusalem family mourns teenage runaway killed by IS This heartbreaking article reminds everyone that Muslims are the most affected by the atrocities committed by the so-called IS.
For those people who forget humans are not a monolith, She wished there were more Palestinians like me is a good one. Actually, it’s a great piece to read even if you know Palestinians are human.
On March 15, Deadly Twin Bombings Hit Churches In Pakistan, Killing At Least 14. The Pakistani Taliban took credit for these suicide bombings and warned of more such attacks.
Hallelujah! Er… I mean Alhamdulillah! Muslim Teachers May Wear Head Scarves, German Court Rules I just realized how pathetic it is of me to be so happy someone was given a basic right, but I take what I can get.
I am a little late on this but please read Women Use #DressCodePM To Ridicule Prime Minister’s Anti-Niqab Comments. After Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper after said niqab, a face-covering veil worn by some Muslim women, is “rooted in a culture that is anti-women,” women like, Shireen Ahmed, used the Hashtag to highlight how ridiculous his comments were. Hilarious!

The Exclusive Interview: Widow Of Man Shot While Taking Snow Pictures where Zahraa Altaie, the widow of Ahmed Al-Jumaili who was shot and killed while taking pictures of his first snowfall in Texas, gives her first interview after her husband’s murder.
And because we all want to know: Can you be an Islamist and a feminist? Even “Muslim” and “Islamic” feminism is so diverse!
Articles By Muslims:
Just when I thought writer, Wajahat Ali had written all that can be written about Lotas, Ether El-Katatney proved me wrong. Check out her piece called, Butt wipes. Water sprays. Bidets. Lotas. And other toilet stuff. I needed a laugh after reading all the depressing links I posted.

On the last One Ummah, Many Voices, I put up Mehdi Hasan’s article about ISIS. Is ISIS Islamic or Not? It Doesn’t Matter written by Mohamed Ghilant is another must read follow up to Hasan’s article.
Just For Laughs:
Iran Offers to Mediate Talks Between Republicans and Obama. Thank you Iran!
Have a great day and remember to follow me at @muslimahmontage and let me know if you want to see something added to the next list!
