I didn\u2019t know, how I would hold hope amidst the sounds of war?<\/strong><\/h2>\n Hope used to be one of the brightest in my garden of moments.<\/p>\n I would advocate for its sweetness.<\/p>\n In the most challenging of times, guide the ill and grieving.<\/a><\/p>\n To their own treasures of hope.<\/p>\n And then Oct 7th<\/sup><\/a> happened.<\/p>\n My soul was captured by grief, fear, pain and unbearable sadness.<\/p>\n Hope seemed to have fled down the rivers of my tears.<\/p>\n I didn\u2019t know, how I would hold hope amidst the sounds of war?<\/p>\n And the aftermath of a horrific massacre.<\/p>\n .<\/p>\n Photo-Benjamin Photography, Dani Tenenbaum.** Holding Hope for the Return of Israeli Hostages on Day 100<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n ** **\u00a0<\/p>\n Despite the overwhelming odds, hope persists.<\/strong><\/h2>\n**** ** War with its destructive force and pervasive despair often seems antithetical to hope.<\/p>\n ** ****Especially one that began after the traumas of innocent slaughtered citizens.<\/p>\n One of those being my dear friend<\/a>.<\/p>\n It is a harrowing ordeal for all that are involved.<\/p>\n Leaving scars that run deep within societies and individuals.<\/p>\n Despite the overwhelming odds, hope persists.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0Each time a bit of hope would caress my heart.<\/strong><\/h2>\n****** ** Hope kept knocking on my soul\u2019s door.<\/p>\n ** Not allowing me to forget the sounds of its song.<\/p>\n ** ******In Israel and N.Y., I witnessed enormous acts of compassion and kindness for the hostage families.<\/p>\n The sons of Vivian Silver, a victim of the massacre, spoke of peace.<\/a><\/p>\n I talked with those that offered shelter to all the evacuees.<\/a><\/p>\n And those that had lost everything dear, on that gruesome Saturday.<\/p>\n My sister and her family are among those that were left no other choice but to evacuate their home.<\/p>\n She shared her hope as my Tel-Aviv home became hers.<\/p>\n Each time a bit of hope would caress my heart.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n It takes courage to hold hope.<\/strong><\/h2>\n******** ** I know there are long lasting effects of war.<\/p>\n ** Physically, psychologically and spiritually.<\/p>\n ** I have lived through many.<\/p>\n ** But this was different, everything about it seemed to weaken my well of hope.<\/p>\n ** It takes courage to hold hope.<\/p>\n ** When the pains of war cloud your vision.<\/p>\n ** The constant threat of violence and loss can take a toll on even the most resilient spirits.<\/p>\n ** ********Leading to a deep despair.<\/p>\n Photo-Susan P.Lax******** ****A Poster of My Friend\u2019s Brother, Keith Siegal, Stolen and Still Held Hostage<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/h2>\n Hope endures, it is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.<\/strong><\/h2>\n********** ** Hope manifests itself in acts of defiance against injustice.<\/p>\n ** In the face of tyranny, individuals rise up refusing to succumb to despair.<\/p>\n ** I chose to dedicate my time and heart to bringing the hostages back home from Gaza.<\/p>\n ** **********Together with an amazing group of people I found my courage to hold hope.<\/p>\n A forum devoted to keeping hope alive<\/a> for each of the hostage families.<\/p>\n Hope endures, it is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.<\/p>\n As long as there are people willing to dream and work towards a better tomorrow hope will thrive.<\/p>\n Transcending the horrors of war and ushering in brighter moments for all.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Photo-Susan P.
