A Core teaching in Judaism, the commandment to love and help the stranger.<\/strong><\/h2>\n Jews have had to take care of themselves for centuries.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/em>All Jews are responsible for each other. <\/a>\u00a0Kol Israel aravim zeh lzeh.<\/p>\n Jews around the world have heard and internalized this saying.<\/p>\n An oppressed minority, Jews learned early on to form their own humanitarian organizations.<\/p>\n However,\u00a0 I have used a\u00a0 different core teaching in Judaism to lead my way.<\/p>\n The commandment to love and help the stranger \u2013 (Ki Tavo, Deuteronomy 26:1\u201329:8)<\/em> .<\/p>\n I have never limited humanitarian goodness just to the Ju people.<\/p>\n We, the Jewish people, have known the pains and suffering of being a stranger\u00a0 and oppressed in a land.<\/p>\n Therefore, Israelis as well as Jews worldwide have given\u00a0 humanitarian organizations<\/a> a great importance<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Printed poem by Susan P.Lax, photo unknown<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n*** ** ***\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0A teaching that it is our obligation to never forget and strive to make the world a better place.<\/strong><\/h2>\n \u00a0<\/strong>Tikkun Olam, Repairing the World<\/a> is another pervasive phrase in Judaism.<\/p>\n It comes from the Mishnah<\/a>.<\/p>\n This\u00a0 message that must be passed on to generations to come,<\/p>\n If we do not contribute to fixing the world, we have learned nothing.<\/p>\n Consequently, TIKKUN OLAM will be heard at weddings, BNAI-MITZVA\u2019S, <\/a>\u00a0and synagogues during the High Holidays.<\/p>\n A \u00a0\u00a0Jewish teaching that it is our obligation to never forget and strive to make the world a better place.<\/p>\n Organizations like, AJWS<\/a> and HIAS<\/a>\u00a0 are humanitarian organizations\u00a0 that exemplify this phrase.<\/p>\n \u00a0HIAS<\/a> was responsible for helping my family, holocaust survivors to resettle.<\/p>\n Today, they help all refugees for the world is made up of humanity.<\/p>\n Israel, the Jewish state, has always created humanitarian organizations to help people around the world.<\/p>\n In Israel, we know\u00a0 how wars, and terrorist attacks, both on Palestinians and Jewish can devastate the souls involved.<\/p>\n IsraAid supports\u00a0 refugees, victims of natural disasters, as well sufferers of wars around the world.<\/p>\n IsraAid<\/a> is an Israeli organization whose mission is to support people worldwide affected by humanitarian crisis.<\/p>\n Jewish and Israeli humanitarian organizations continue to offer humanitarian aid around the world..<\/p>\n You can find some of them below:<\/p>\n JDC<\/a><\/p>\n World Jewish Relief<\/a><\/p>\n Natan Relief<\/a><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Humanity must be taken care of.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n I co- own NAOT<\/a>\u00a0an Israeli based international footwear company.<\/p>\n Our company\u2019s message is\u00a0 based on repairing the world, TiIKKUN OLAM.<\/p>\n We donate shoes to those in need around the world with the help of Israeli and Jewish humanitarian organizations.<\/p>\n This cause is ingrained in the Jewish\u00a0 and Israeli community.<\/p>\n Just as it is a part of my soul story.<\/p>\n As a spiritual counselor ,Jew, Israeli-American,\u00a0 and member of the human race I have a responsibility.<\/p>\n I must take\u00a0 part in\u00a0 fixing and creating a better world.<\/p>\n Humanity must be taken care of,.<\/p>\n What a privilege it is to help do that!<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n If your path leads you to learn more about me click here.<\/a><\/h4>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"********* ** *********A Core teaching in Judaism, the commandment to love and help the stranger.
