Every year, I tend to get a bit cranky when I start seeing the Christmas decor roll out in the stores at the beginning of September. I usually huff past the decor, rolling my eyes and mumbling something about it not even being Halloween yet – except for this year! I don’t know what it was, but when I saw the stores clearing aisles to prep for all that holiday greenery, I got so excited and even started singing a carol or two! Maybe it’s the special family times that were touching my heart, or maybe it was the the fact that it’s been so hot these past few weeks that I’m pining for that nip in the air to hurry up and get here!

Whatever the reason, I wanted to share with you the trends that I keep seeing over and over that I know are going to be HOT this year for Christmas decor. I’ve also pulled together some links for gorgeous items you can score online as well! Grab a cup and your pocketbook and let’s have some fun!

Birch

I have a thing for birch wood. I wish we had a River Birch tree in our yard and every time I see birch decor, I want to snatch it up, which is why I’m so excited to see that Birch Christmas decor is everywhere this year! Just look at these cute Birch Tree Cutouts! And that Joy sign? LOVE IT!

And I can’t help but point out that cute birch bucket! From wrapping paper to ornaments, I kept seeing this theme in every store I hit this past week. Here are some links for you to get your own awesome Birchy elements for your home this season (affiliate links provided):

Birch Candle Holders, set of 4 $49.99

Buffalo Check

Buffalo check, buffalo plaid, or just red and black plaid – whatever you call it, it’s equally as pretty! Last year, I found Kerri’s blog, from A Pop of Pretty, and her gorgeous styled Christmas tree. I immediately pinned it with all that swoony Buffalo Check! It definitely made me want to integrate that into my tree this year. It just so happens that I have been seeing more buffalo check in the store’s Christmas Decor departments. Yay – happy dance!

Well, you know this tugs at my vintage-loving heart. Every time I stumble upon one of Donna’s creation from Funky Junk Interiors, I know immediately who made it! Isn’t this tray amazing?! Vintage Ephemera has had a resurgence over the past decade, but now the commercial industry is taking notice of how beautiful it is. Vintage themed Christmas decor is sprinkled all over these days! If you love to DIY like me, you can score Donna’s awesome stencils here and make a sign of your own, but if you are looking for ready made, vintage style decor, here are some goodies I know you’ll love!

Vintage Holiday Tea Towel (with a buffalo check one, too!) $23.00

Holly and Sugar Pillow, from $7.99

Distressed Sled Sign $24.99

Shut the front door!! Isn’t Kimberlee’s tree a stunner?! Head over to The Fancy Shack to check out her other gorgeous Christmas decor. So what is flocking? It’s the artificial snow you can spray to your real or fake tree to make it all dreamy and white and Kimberlee styled hers to perfection! You can always find greenery at your craft stores, but in the past, it was difficult to find items that were already flocked. Not this year! Homegoods, TJ Maxx, Hobby Lobby are all rolling out decor that is already flocked and ready to hang! Here are some online beauties I found:

Artificial Flocked Mini Pine Tree $21.95

Cordless Pre-Lit Snow Flocked Wreath $59.39

Flocked Pine Garland $43.74

Glitter

I have to be honest with you all.

I HATE glitter.

I mean, I love how it looks and how magical it makes the season appear with all the twinkling lights, but give me a birthday card with the tiniest hint of glitter and suddenly I look like Olivia Newton John from Xanadu ready to roller skate my way to your heart. I mean, I get covered in it, and as you know, it doesn’t wash off.

But since I’m seeing loads of cute Christmasy glitter scattered about, I’ll include some adorable finds for you!

Christmas Village Trees Wired Bottle Brush, $29.99

Glitter Christmas Deer $31.50

Glitter Cotton Ball Christmas Wreath $59.99

So there you have it! This years top Christmas Decor Trends with load of links to get you decking your halls and fa-la-la-ing this season! Here’s a pin for you to save for later.

I share with these wonderful people. This post contains affiliate links.
