My art is all for sale and it’s fun to shop!

Before I share my thoughts behind this cartoon, I want to explain where the thoughts for the post came from. Bear with me.

Some of you may already know that I moderate an online community called The Lasting Supper. What happens over there is we have “Meet a Member” podcasts as well as podcasts addressing issues. We run a forum that is full of stories and resources. We have informative videos. We have a private Facebook group that’s very interactive. Sometimes we run chatrooms that are just crazy fun on the weekends. I also write short meditations every day specifically to encourage the members that I call Our Daily Toast. I spend a great deal of my time devoting myself to that community that’s grown to over 325 people from around the world. All this is for one purpose: to help us become spiritually independent with the respectful support of others. That’s why our motto is “Help yourself!” I invite you to join us.

Last week I wrote this post and I’m going to share it with you. I called it “compassionate intelligence”:

My favorite scientific reading is that of physicist David Bohm (1917-1992). I suspect he influenced my thinking to the extent that I had my waterfall dream which in turn prompted me to start writing the z-theory.

His scientific and quantum theories are fascinating. They are deeply spiritual. Read “The Essential David Bohm” edited by Lee Nichol. You can download a free pdf of the book HERE. He and the world philosopher Krishnamurti had frequent conversations, some of which can be viewed on Youtube.

Bohm refused to answer directly if there was a God. But in an interview, he responded this way:

“… people had insight in the past about a form of intelligence that had organized the universe and they personalized it and called it God. A similar insight can prevail today without personalizing it and without calling it a personal God.”

In another interview, he admitted that he himself felt this intelligence was compassionate.

This rests comfortably with me.

Again, I welcome you to The Lasting Supper where you can help yourself.
