Getting Stoned with Moldavite
Last updated on: January 7, 2020 at 8:01 pm By Devin Hunter
Most of the Moldavite we find today is mined near or in the Czech Republic but its lore can be traced to regions like Greece and India. Moldavite is said to be the crown jewel on Lucifer, the stone that sits atop the Holy Grail, and is even believed to have been the stone that sat atop the statue of Diana at Ephesus, known to the ancients as Diopet. Last updated on: January 4, 2020 at 2:08 pm By Mat Auryn

New Moon in Capricorn for 2019
Last updated on: December 24, 2019 at 7:01 pm By Durgadas Allon Duriel
Capricorn is able to build empires, not because it has lofty visions, but because the visions it has never veer far concerns of, “How would I actually do this?” It’s unsurprising that this is a season when many set goals and resolutions, as there’s a tremendous astrological boost for both of these activities. The Rise of the Warlock
Last updated on: December 16, 2019 at 6:04 pm By Storm Faerywolf
Warlock used to mean “one who breaks an oath” (a charge first leveled in the 14th century by Christian authorities, so consider the source) but that hasn’t been its’ definition for over 500 years. Consider also that in places such as Scotland, the word has simply meant “a male witch” for five centuries. So, what we have in the face of those who still insist on using the word’s oath-breaking connotations, is the knowledge that they are engaging in an etymological fallacy. Read more

Full Moon in Gemini for 2019
Last updated on: December 9, 2019 at 8:58 am By Durgadas Allon Duriel
Gemini is the storyteller of the zodiac, and this full Moon can be a powerful one for considering the stories at work in our lives. The stories we tell ourselves shape so much of what we perceive and experience, as well as how we feel, and often, we hold stories within that are untrue (or at least distorted or biased) that negatively impact us. The Undeniable Hubris of Knowing
Last updated on: December 3, 2019 at 6:26 pm By Storm Faerywolf
Whether one asserts that the gods are independent, separate beings, or affirms that they are but aspects of the human psyche, both arguments suffer from the same fatal flaw: they assert to know something that by its very nature cannot be assessed fully with the rational mind. They each represent their own type of dogmatic thinking. Read more

Revealing the Secrets of Witchcraft
Last updated on: November 18, 2019 at 8:13 pm By Storm Faerywolf
Here we might begin to see the all-too-common conflation between mystery and secrecy; the former being the indescribable experiential core of a path, while the latter covers material specific to the particular ritual, group, coven, lineage, or tradition. Secrets must be guarded. Mysteries take care of themselves. Read more
