Come and Rest in My Presence

LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

I invite you to come and rest in my presence. Offer me your weary heart and soul with your cares and worries concerning your family and friends. The weight of your struggle makes you anxious, and you carry the responsibility of the world on your shoulders. Now is the time to focus your eyes on me. (Enjoy My Presence)

There is no need to bear the weight alone because you can trust and know that I am able to provide a way of deliverance for you. You must learn to rest and abide in my presence. Rest seems to be a waste of precious time, but proper rest helps put your life into perspective. I created a Sabbath day of rest knowing that my people won’t take the time to relax and revitalize their physical body and spirit.

Rest is required to heal your mind and refresh your spirit and soul. You avoid rest and stay busy so you will not have to listen to your heart and hear what I’m saying to you. I never intended a relationship built on fear or the need to perform to please me. What I want is to walk and talk with you like Enoch walked and talked with me.

My one desire for you is to love me and reveal my love to a lost world around you. When you rest in me, your heart and mind align with my heart and soul. In my presence, you are loved, and my love will lift you above the issues you face right now. My presence provides the resurrection hope that you can withstand any onslaught you face today. (Help with Discouragement and Disappointment) So, come to me and know you’re not alone. No matter what struggle you’re facing I am with you. Take a moment and rest in my presence meditate on my word and hear my voice speaking blessing and life to you. Come and rest in my presence and I will give you peace and hope for eternity.

Scripture:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Mathew 11:28 NIV

There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; Hebrews 4:9 NIV

Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. Genesis 5:24 NIV
