A few days ago I went to Subway to order lunch. It was about 11:00 am, I had been up since 6:30am, and it would have been my 1st meal! As you might imagine, I was starving. Oh, did I mention I’d be selling hair products for the next 5 hours!

Anywho, as I ordered my food the young lady repeated my order and I confirmed. As we approached the condiment section, I requested ranch dressing. She said, “Ranch dressing, right?” For the 3rd time I proceeded to say yes. Then I watch her use Southwest Chipotle sauce. Partially agitated I explained what she did. Do you know she had the nerve to ask me “Can you take it anyway?”

Did I lose you? I promise I’m getting to the point!

Now, part of me wanted to accept the sandwich to bypass the perceived embracement of holding up the line, in addition to my anxiety regarding time (taking the 1st sandwich would have spared me 3 minutes). BUT, had I taken the sandwich I would have been EXTREMELY dissatisfied because it was not what I wanted, it was not what I asked for, it was not what I paid for! Each time I would have taken a bite, I would have been reminded of my disappointment.

Much like my sandwich, most women are presented with a counterfeit gentleman before the real deal surfaces. You know, the ones who look like what you prayed for, but when you get down to it he’s not at all what you thought.

Problem is, some women recognize that the gentleman is NOT at all what she thought and still chooses to entertain him. Some choose to overlook the “minor” imperfections, while others know their worth, their value, and the cost of prayer…so much so that they refuse to accept anything less than what they KNOW God has for them.

So if you asked me why some women never get what they deserve, I’d simply say it’s because they choose “less best” out of fear of God’s timing(he’s taking too long), the perceived embarrassment of people wondering why she is still single and the lack of confidence to stand firm in what she wants and is believing God for!

Let me tell you that sandwich was divine! Had I accepted the first presentation, I can only image the agonizing disappointment I would have experienced for the next 5 hours.

I believe God has someone out there uniquely designed just for you! Though it may take a little while longer, you don’t want to spend the rest of you life in complete or partial disappointment due to accepting what was never meant to be yours in the first place.

A lot of times women choose counterfeits because they don’t realize the guy they are choosing is actually a counterfeit.

You have got to to be able to identify a counterfeit in order to avoid them.
