The Catholic tradition teaches that concupiscence “darkens the intellect” or, as I like to say, sin makes you stupid. Examples of this abound these days as Family Values Christianist prostrate themselves to adore a self-confessed sex predator who shags porn stars behind his third wife’s back and proclaim a man who welcomes the title “Second Coming of God” as the anointed of God.

It would be lovely to think that the graces of the sacraments protect Catholics from such idiocy, but in addition to this kind of lunacy is the added lunacy of the six years of war on the Holy Father that has been championed by Republican Rite Catholics. From the spectacle of this grifting priest

desecrating an altar in the worship of his god-king, to the sight to Austin Ruse valorizing domestic terrorists like the Proud Boys to the insanity of Patrick Coffin championing Milo Yiannopolous to the utter dementia of Taylor Marshall urging his cult of personality to listen to demons rather than the Magisterium, the crazy has been on full display on the Trump-adoring, Francis-hating Right of American Catholicism, and nowhere more than in the reaction of the Freak Show to Dawn Eden Goldstein’s careful documentation of the crazy coming from Taylor Marshall, Austin Ruse, Patrick Coffin and, last but not least, Cardinal Burke.

Speaking of Taylor Marshall and listening to demons:

For those unfamiliar with Goldy, she is a white supremacist, a champion of the Nazis at Charlottesville, and has been interviewed by the neo-Nazi website, the Daily Stormer.

And those people were quick to respond when Dawn Eden retweeted the tweet above:

White Supremacist is the popular term used now by money monopoly leftists like “Goldstein” to smear their enemies and shut down any speech they dont like!

Even black people are being called white supremacist! Ha!

It is, shall we say, not an accident that these voices are prominent in the defense of Marshall and the rest of the Francis-hating Freak Show, just as it was not an accident that within an hour of his election, Rorate Caeli was publishing a piece titled “The Horror” full of the hyperventilation of an Argentinian Holocaust Denier. Francis hatred and anti-semitism are like peas and carrots for this crowd.

Also telling, the fact that this crowd constantly questions the validity of Jewish conversions to the Faith, but not that of Taylor Marshall. Meanwhile, Paul writes:

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, convince, rebuke, and exhort, be unfailing in patience and in teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own likings, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander into myths. As for you, always be steady, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfil your ministry. (2 Ti 4:1–5)

Dawn Eden Goldstein and others like her, faithful to the Magisterium, are carrying out Paul’s charge to disciples of Jesus Christ. People running urging us to listen to demons because they help us hate the Holy Father and the Magisterium more effectively? People full of Jew-hating bile foreign to the mind of Christ? Not so much.

I repeat: The dichotomy is stark. The gospel of Jesus Christ Dawn Eden Goldstein proclaims–the authentic gospel in union with the Holy Father and the Magisterium–offers mercy and forgiveness even to such vicious enemies as these. All that is asked is a little humility and repentance and all sinful ugliness can be washed away by the blood of Christ in the sacrament of confession.

Christianism offers nothing but racism, the worship of power, black satanic pride, and anti-semitic ugliness that has ruined the world for far too long. On this, the 80th anniversary of the racist war that loosed the most deadly anti-semitic regime in history on the world, for the love of God, choose Jesus Christ, not this filth.
